One hour earlier, at Parkinson Manor, Voldemort sat on his throne while listening to reports from the Death Eaters. After the reports, he ordered Lucius Malfoy to come before him.

Upon entering, Lucius noticed that his master was in a good mood. He approached, knelt, and waited for his master to command him to rise.

Lucius: Yes, Master.

Voldemort: Lucius, I have decided to give you a new opportunity to make amends for your mistake.

Lucius felt a surge of relief, as the humiliation he had been experiencing would finally come to an end.

Lucius: I will do whatever you command, Master.

Voldemort: Bring me your son.

Lucius: Master?

Voldemort: I told you to bring me your son. I will give him my mark.

Lucius: It is an honor, Master. My son supports your cause.

Voldemort: I'm glad to hear that, because I will also give him a mission.

Lucius: A mission? What kind of mission? What will happen to him if he fails... - he thought.

Voldemort: I will assign him a very important mission: to kill Dumbledore.

Lucius: Master, please give that mission to me. My son is very young.

Voldemort: I have already decided that your son will carry out this mission.

Lucius: Master, please—he pleaded.

Voldemort: DO YOU DARE TO DISOBEY ME?

Lucius: N-no, Master—he said, extremely nervous.

All present were mocking Lucius.

Voldemort: Bring me your son now.

Lucius: Yes, Master.

As he stepped away, he caught the report from Amico Carrow.

Amico: The Muggle prisoners are dead; they couldn't withstand it.

Voldemort: No matter, we can always acquire more.

As he withdrew, for a moment, Lucius and Voldemort's eyes met. Upon exiting the manor, he ran desperately. He had a bad feeling.

Lucius: Who the hell am I serving? What will he do to my son if he fails? - he thought, recalling the torture he endured when he failed to retrieve the prophecy. - I don't want that for my son. He was meant to lead us to glory, not extinction. My son is the last remaining member of the Malfoy family. - he thought.

Lucius arrived at the manor and began shouting for his wife and son. The only thing on his mind was that he had to save his family.

Narcissa stepped out of the study and saw the ruined entrance and several of her 'friends,' including her sister, dueling with Lucius. Several house-elves lay dead on the ground.

Bellatrix: Did you really think you could deceive the Dark Lord? CRUCIO!

Lucius screamed, and Narcissa wanted to rush out to help her husband, but for a moment, their eyes met, and she understood he was signaling for her to flee and protect Draco. The Death Eaters hadn't realized they were being watched by Narcissa. Bellatrix ordered them to search for Narcissa and her nephew. Some began to look for them while others continued torturing Lucius. As the Death Eaters climbed the stairs, two house-elves appeared and started to fight.
