A New Ally

Due to the failed Death Eater attack, several Aurors took charge of collecting the bodies of both the Death Eaters and elves who perished, which were found at the Bones Manor and Sasuke Uchiha's residence.

Sasuke and Amelia were at St. Mungo's Hospital for a check-up and to visit Susan. The healers found nothing wrong during the check-up of the emo. Both Amelia and the Aurors were amazed that he didn't have a single scratch. After witnessing all the destruction and bodies, and seeing that the emo had no injuries, everyone came to the same conclusion: Sasuke Uchiha was a genius.

Sasuke and Amelia were led to an office provided by the hospital because the Minister wanted to speak with him.

Amelia: Mr. Uchiha, first of all, I want to thank you for saving both my life and Susan's. I really appreciate it.

Sasuke: No problem.

Amelia: The reason I wanted to speak with you privately, Mr. Uchiha, is to ask for your help. This attack made me realize that what we lack is power.

Sasuke: And what do I get in return?

Amelia: Whatever you want: information, rewards, titles.

Sasuke: I have conditions.

Amelia: What are they?

Sasuke:

1. I won't take orders from anyone; we treat each other as equals.

2. I want to use magic outside of school.

3. I want equal pay to yours.

Amelia wanted to protest, especially about the payment. How could he receive the same salary as the Minister of Magic? But she didn't argue, as she needed him, and this would only last until the end of the war.

Amelia: Agreed.

Sasuke: If I'm going to face Voldemort, I'll need an army since he has one, too. Besides, with the knowledge he has about some of my abilities, he's likely already taken countermeasures.

The next day, news of the death of 20 Death Eaters spread throughout the Ministry. Journalists were eager for an interview with both the Minister and the Head of the Auror Office, but so far, no statements had been made.

All the reporters gathered outside the Ministry, trying to get in. Amid the chaos, a representative of the Minister came out and informed them that there would be a press conference in the main auditorium in two hours to answer all their questions.

Two hours later:

Reporter 1: What do you think they're going to announce?

Reporter 2: I think it'll be about the attack.

Reporter 3: What attack?

Reporter 2: There's a rumor that a Ministry official's house was attacked.

Reporter 4: I heard Bones might be stepping down.

Reporter 5: Then Scrimgeour would take over.

All murmurs ceased when Amelia Bones entered the auditorium, followed by the Aurors. Even Rufus Scrimgeour was present.

Amelia: Good afternoon, everyone.

Amelia: I'm holding this conference to address the rumor regarding the capture and death of 20 Death Eaters.

All eyes were on Bones, quills and parchments ready.

Amelia: The attack was aimed at me, but in my moment of despair, hope appeared. A talented wizard fought the Death Eaters and didn't hesitate to do what needed to be done.
