It was Saturday, the day for the trip to Hogsmeade, as well as the date for the Apparition License assessment. The students were excited and happy with the plans they had made. Harry, Ron, and Hermione walked together toward the village.

Harry: Good luck on the Apparition exam. I'll be meeting Sirius around the Three Broomsticks Inn.

Ron: Say hi to him for us.

Hermione: And good luck with the other matter.

The three parted ways. As Harry walked, he encountered many acquaintances who greeted him in return. Upon arriving at the inn's entrance, he spotted Sirius.

Sirius: Harry, it's great to see you!

Harry: You too, Sirius.

Sirius: Let's go. We can talk while we walk.

Harry: Sounds good.

Sirius: What's going on that made you call me?

Harry: There have been issues with the map.

Sirius: What kind of issues?

Harry: The map showed two Sasukes, and at other times, it disappears from the map—not just when going out to the forest, but also in the middle of a corridor or room. It just vanishes.

Sirius: That's impossible. You can't Apparate in Hogwarts. Are you sure you didn't see it wrong?

Harry: No, Ron saw it too.

Sirius: Then give me the map. I'll examine it closely. Did you bring it?

Harry: Yes, here it is.

Sirius: Although I told you to stay away, what have you discovered?

Harry: I stayed away; I just kept an eye on things with the map and the Monster, but I didn't find anything significant.

Sirius: Have you talked to Dumbledore about your suspicions?

Harry: No, he has more important things on his mind right now.

Harry: By the way, any news about Professor Lupin?

Sirius: Nothing. I couldn't find out anything new.

Harry: I'm sorry.

Sirius: Don't worry; I'll rescue him. I know he's alive; I can feel it.

When they arrived at their destination, it was the Hog's Head Inn. Harry approached the bar, and the bartender, upon seeing him, simply said, "Second floor, room 202."

Sirius bid Harry farewell and sat at a table. Harry climbed the stairs and reached room 202. Upon opening the door, he found Albus Dumbledore.

Dumbledore: I'm glad you made it, Harry.

Harry: Hello, Professor Dumbledore.

Dumbledore: Harry, take my hand.

Harry took Dumbledore's hand, and they both disappeared.

One Hour Earlier

Sasuke left accompanied by Luna, Zacharias, Draco, Astoria, and Daphne. Three of them were heading to the Apparition tests, while the other three would wait for them at the Three Broomsticks, not without wishing them luck first.

Sasuke, Draco, and Daphne walked toward the post office, which would be their meeting point. Upon arrival, most students were already there. On the podium stood Instructor Twycross and four people behind him, who were presumably the examiners.

Twycross: Good morning, students. As you know, today we will be assessing you to see if you qualify for the Apparition License. I want to introduce the examiners: Madarne Edgecombe, Basil Goodweather, Abraham Setrakian, and Matt Sayles.

Edgecombe: Good morning, candidates. The exam will consist of Apparating to designated locations: Dervish and Banges and the Hogsmeade Station.

Several murmurs spread, mentioning that the station was very far away.

Goodweather: The Apparition locations will be chosen randomly, so please draw a paper from the box.

Edgecombe: Good luck to everyone.

At that moment, Abraham Setrakian and Matt Sayles disappeared.

Goodweather: Don't worry; they've already gone to their designated locations.

Everyone formed a line and drew their papers. Only five people were assigned to the Hogsmeade Station, while the others went to Dervish and Banges:

. Hermione Granger

. Hannah Abbot

. Ernie Macmillan

. Anthony Goldstein

. Sasuke Uchiha

Edgecombe: Before we start the roll call, is there a volunteer to go first?

The students looked at each other; no one seemed willing to step forward until someone calmly advanced.

Sasuke: I'll volunteer.

Edgecombe: Mr. Uchiha, it's a pleasure to see you again.

Sasuke: The pleasure is mine.

Edgecombe: Very well, Mr. Uchiha. On the count of three... one, two, three, now.

Sasuke disappeared and reappeared at Hogsmeade Station. Examiner Abraham Setrakian examined him closely.

Setrakian: Approved, Mr. Uchiha. You can wait here until the others arrive, – he said, indicating some seats.

Sasuke moved to the seats and sat down while he waited.

After a few minutes, Hermione appeared, followed by Ernie, both of whom passed. Then Anthony appeared but failed, as he did not show up at the designated spot but rather on the train tracks, and he was missing a piece of his eyebrow.

At that moment, the birds began to fly as if fleeing from something.

Sasuke wasted no time and jumped onto the roof of the station for a better view.

At the post office, the exams continued, but suddenly they stopped.

Edgecombe: What's happening, Ms. Abbot? Why can't you disappear?

Hannah: I don't know.

Goodweather: Mr. Malfoy, why can't you disappear?

Draco: I don't know; I tried, but it's not working.

Twycross: Someone cast an anti-Apparition spell over the entire town.

All the fireplaces in the town went out, indicating that the flu network had been cut off. The residents emerged from their homes to see a massive black mark hovering in the sky.
