The teachers and students of Hogwarts wanted to impress the guests from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang this Christmas. The school began preparations a month in advance.

Before the Christmas holidays, on the last Thursday of the month, Professor Snape was in the Slytherin common room, where he had summoned almost all the students.

Snape: Pay attention, as I will only say this once, he said, looking sternly at the students.

Sasuke arrived with Theodore and Sean.

Snape: The Yule Ball is approaching; it is a tradition of the Triwizard Tournament and an opportunity for us to socialize with our foreign guests, he said, observing how the students began to murmur.

Theodore: CAN ALL STUDENTS ATTEND? he shouted enthusiastically.

Snape: I'm sorry, Mr. Nott, but only fourth-year students and above, along with the champions, will be allowed to attend the ball. However, a fourth-year student or above may invite a younger student if they wish, he said, noticing how the girls smiled and looked at Sasuke.

Snape: The ball will start at 8 PM on Christmas Day and end at midnight. All participating students must wear formal evening attire. That is all, he said, watching the students disperse. Mr. Uchiha, he called the mentioned student's attention. Come to my office. I need to discuss a specific matter with you, he said, leading them to his office.

Snape: As a champion, like the others, you will also open the ball, Mr. Uchiha.

Sasuke: What if I refuse?

Snape: This is a tradition, and you will have to do it. If your excuse is that you don't know how to dance, I will ask Professor McGonagall to teach you.

Sasuke: No, you don't need to bother Professor McGonagall, he said, imagining a scene of him dancing with the professor, which made him break into a cold sweat for a moment.

The emo situation was complicated. He couldn't walk through the castle corridors without girls approaching him to ask if he would take them to the ball. He needed to use his ninja skills to dodge them.

The girls always sought him out in groups, and the obsessed fans divided into several groups to see who could go to the ball with him.

The boys from Slytherin looked at Sasuke with envy, but he didn't care. The Slytherin girls were looking for other boys for the ball, convinced that Sasuke was avoiding the other girls because he would be going with Luna.

Despite his classes, Sasuke still didn't know whom he would invite to the ball since Luna had mentioned before the tournament started that she would be traveling with her father, and he didn't want to ruin her trip.

Sasuke had already prepared everything for the second task, but he still went to the library to continue his research. He took books from the restricted section and found one about Occlumency and Legilimency. Occlumency was easy for him since, as a ninja, he was trained to conceal information, and Legilimency was also unnecessary because he could use his Sharingan or a Genjutsu.

That afternoon, Hermione entered the library and approached Sasuke to congratulate him on his victory in the first task. She asked for his help in deciphering the egg, as she still hadn't succeeded and didn't want to see Harry injured or, worse, dead.

Sasuke asked what her friends were doing, and Hermione lied, saying they were investigating elsewhere. Sasuke realized she was lying.

Sasuke: How much are you willing to pay for that information? he asked, seeing Hermione's confused expression. Last year, you stopped talking to me when I told the truth about your friends. So, what are you willing to offer in exchange for the information?
