The days passed, and it was already the last day of the first week of classes.
Sasuke had earned a lot of points for his house. In the first week, he accumulated a total of 40 points, breaking Hermione Granger's record. Additionally, he earned 15 points in a class with Snape.
All the students were excited about the flying lesson, especially the Slytherins and Hufflepuffs, as their classes were scheduled for the morning.
In the Great Hall, while having breakfast, the students chatted about their flying experiences, and the Slytherin table was no exception.
Sean: At home, we have a Comet 180. I've been flying it since I was 8 years old. It's really easy.
Madeleine: Can you give me some advice? I'm nervous.
Tiffany/Flora: Us too.
Sean began giving them some tips, and a few other first-year Slytherins gathered to listen, while others preferred to ask for advice from second-year students.
Astoria: Can you give me some tips, sister?
Daphne: Don't get nervous. When you fly a bit and are ready to land, lean down gently and stay calm.
Astoria: Thanks, sis.
After leaving the Great Hall, everyone headed to the Quidditch stadium, where the professor was waiting with several brooms laid out on the ground.
Hooch: Good morning, everyone.
Students: Good morning, Madam Hooch.
Hooch: Welcome to your first flying lesson.
The students stared at her, unsure of what to say.
Hooch: What are you waiting for? Please, stand to the left of your broomsticks. Hold out your right hand over the broom and say "Up."
Sasuke: Up.
The broom immediately flew into Sasuke's hand. Many other students achieved the same result, but some struggled, continuing to say "Up."
Hooch: With more conviction.
"Up," "Up," "Up."
In the end, all the students managed to get their brooms to rise.
Hooch: Now, I want you to mount your brooms and hold on tight, or you'll slip off. When you hear the whistle, push off the ground hard. Keep your balance as you float, and then tilt down to return to the ground. 3, 2, 1, whistle.
All the students were floating on their brooms. Professor Hooch mounted her broom and watched the students with her wand in hand, just in case, due to last year's accident.
Sasuke floated too, but he noticed that the broom wasn't practical for battle since his hands were occupied holding it, limiting his movements. On the other hand, when he summoned his hawk, he could fight freely because his hands were free.
Hooch: Very good. Now, gently tilt downwards.
All the students lowered slowly, some with difficulty, and Professor Hooch approached to assist them.
Thirty minutes later, all the students were back on the ground.
Professor Hooch was giving the students more instructions when they all stood up to fly again. Sasuke decided to stand on his broom while flying.
Everyone was shocked to see Sasuke standing on the broom, maintaining his balance with ease. Professor Hooch was also surprised and decided to approach him, especially since Harry Potter hadn't managed to keep his balance for long the previous year, and Sasuke was flying much higher.
