SHIELD was all over the world, it was back in action and bigger than ever. You knew they needed more agents so you didn't hesitate to do the tests to get into the Spanish SHIELD Academy. Those were the best four years of your life but also the hardest. You ended up being the best of your year but it still surprised you when Nick Fury himself requested you to join the Avengers in New York.

You had to think about it. A lot. But you were aware that this was a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity so you just packed all your things, said goodbye to the people closer to you and jumped into the quinjet. On the long way to New York, Fury explained everything to you: since Rhodey wasn't going to be able to work anymore due to the incident that took place during that fight at the airport between Iron Man and Captain America, they needed someone else and they have decided you were their best shot.

They had seen your academy records, your training videos, and they thought you would be perfect for the team. Of course, you would still need a bit more training but they would take care of that.

"Welcome to your new house, Agent", Fury said when you left the quinjet in front of the Avengers HQ.

You had seen photos of this place but you never thought you would actually be there. It was much better than what you imagined and the place hotter than what you expected to be April.

The first days were tough. Getting used to this new place and this new people wasn't easy. Plus, knowing who they were, what they were capable of, was intimidating. You had just left the Academy, you were the newbie, you had no real field experience. But they helped you all the time, they really wanted you to feel like home, to see them as a team, as friends, as a family.

All of them were great, except Tony Stark. At the beginning you thought his sarcasm was something funny but, as the time moved forward, you just started to get sick of it. He was always saying the same things. It was exhausting. You thought he was like that to everyone but soon you found out he was a special bitch towards you.

"Team!" Steve said coming into the living room.

You were laying on the couch, watching a movie with Sam and Peter while Bucky was making popcorns. Natasha was just reading and Wanda was focused on something on the computer. Immediately, Tony, Bruce and Clint came from the laboratory followed by Thor.

"We have a mission in two weeks. In Greenland", he informed throwing a file over the table. Natasha took it immediately to read it. "It's not a long one, just a few days if everything goes according to the plan, but it will be (Y/N)'s first field mission", he said looking straight you.
