Halley and Abbey had a good time spending it together as they talked a lot about each other, they didn't bother if they shared information about them anymore.
"So you don't know who is your mom?" Abbey clarified.
"Yup. Not a single clue." Halley confirmed.
"And you tried asking Tito Vince but he doesn't want to tell you. You also tried asking your relatives and friends, right?"
Abbey had been eliminating all the possible things that can be done.
Which Halley already did.
"I also tried finding it out by myself but guess what! I failed too. Didn't even get single info."
"Did you try observing your dad?"
Halley looked at Abbey curiously.
"I mean, maybe he still has some stuff from your mom or you know, anything that can lead to her."
"I don't think he does, he never wants to talk about her nga eh."
"Hmm, so basically you simply can't."
Abbey gave up, making Halley laughed.
"It's fine, I'm also half-half in my decision if I want to meet her or not."
"What was the last thing tito told you about your mom?"
"Well, he said when I was only four they lost me—"
"How did they lose you? What happened to you?"
"I don't know, I'm too young that time. I can't remember it all and I don't want to."
Abbey respects Halley's decision not to discuss it so she gestured for her to continue.
"They tried looking for me until my mom gave up but papa never did and eventually, he found me. But it was too late he said, my mom already left him."
Halley took a deep breath after she remembers it all.
"And take note, Abbey. Papa told me about this when I am 7 years old only and yet I remember it all clearly."
"Your mom left you and Tito Vince."
Abbey said as if thinking.
"Any idea where she is right now?"
"Nope. If I do, I'd go straight to her."
Halley chuckled then remembers something.
"Wait! Sometimes I overheard papa and my Tito's and Ninong's talking about her. They said she lives in a different country and she has another family."
"Wait, what?"
Abbey looks at Halley as if asking her if she was serious—she is.
"Tito Vince said she knew my mom since college right, maybe I can ask her if she knows anything." Abbey suggested.
"Are you really going to do that for me?"
"Yes, you're my friend now and I want to help you."
"How long are you going to stay here ba?"
"Dunno, maybe a few more months until we finish my wishlist. How 'bout you?"
"Not sure too. Papa has a new project here kasi. He's an engineer." Halley informed her. "About your wishlist pala, can I see it again?"
"Sure." Abbey searched her bag then handed a paper to Halley.
