A couple of days fast approached, Gomez family were down with their last day at Leyte. Not their most awaited day perhaps, but will surely make the most out of it.

Bright sun. Fresh air. All the things Halley loves the most, especially when she wants her alone time.

Looking up at the sky, Halley still couldn't believe how in just a snap, her entire life had changed

Looking up at the sky, Halley still couldn't believe how in just a snap, her entire life had changed.

She was completely submerged by those thoughts when a pair of arms nestled her inside.

"Mama," Halley smiled when she looked behind her.

Held herm arms as Tricia tightly embraced her then kisses the top of her hair.

"It had been years since I hugged you like this, our sweat bean. You were so little back then. Now, you're a grown-up lady."

"Mama naman," Halley smiled at her, held her hands, "diba we've talked about this na po ni papa? No more regretting."

"I know, anak," she smiled back.

Tricia made her daughter face her.

"Mama just wanted to say sorry for all she had done and missed in those 18 years, anak."

Halley couldn't hold it any longer, "hmm... si mama, ang aga mag-paiyak," she buried her face right in her mama's neck.

"I missed you so much, anak."

Tricia wiped Halley's tears.

"I love you, our sweet bean."

"I love you too so much, mama. You have no idea how much I missed you too," she looked up to her mama, "please don't leave us again."

"Of course, I won't. Hinding-hindi na."

The mag-ina keeps the conversation for a while, talking about a lot of things about their lives for the past years. A tearjerking moment at some point for we all know what Halley and her papa, Vince, had been through within those trying years.

Halley had also mentioned those years of her back in Napa, where she would spend hours at their gate every day hoping that her mama would show up.

"You really did that, sweet pea?"

     "Yup, every single day."

"And you would just sit outside?"

"Yeah," Halley pulled a smile as she vividly remembers those days, "I was just that very excited to meet you—because you know, after the plane crash, I don't remember anything."

     Halley takes a deep breath.

"I just remember waking up in a hospital bed with papa and Tita Audrey. Other than that, mama, hindi ko na po maalala."
