Halley and Abbey had just left a pub and intended to return to the hotel since it was late and they wanted to keep their commitment to their papa to head back on time.

"Really? You took me to a bar?" Abbey exclaimed as they hopped into the car.

"I don't plan on us getting here, it simply happened," Halley replied, smiling.

The two exchanged glances before laughing.

"Oh c'mon Avs, when was the last time you guzzled?" Halley mocked, "oh I remember, you don't drink liquors. You didn't even try one back ins—"

"Well, in case you forgot, I have HCM," Abbey quips sarcastically.

"Should at the least, buy a sip. You'll die without knowing how it tastes."

Abbey seems surprised by what Halley said; she didn't expect her sister to say such a thing. Halley became aware of this and recognized that what she had stated was improper.

"Sorry, terrible joke," she palmed her face, "but don't get me wrong, I simply want you to have fun."

"I know, I was just stunned by what you said," Abbey answered with a smile.

"What I meant is that in our situation, between the two of us, you should be the one who favors m—."

"You don't have to explain anything, Hal. I understand."

"All right," she exhaled relievedly, "we should go home, huh?"

"Yeah, we best do," she said, detecting a strange feeling between them, "you go start the car or do you want me to drive? You're boozed up, baka—"

"No, no," Halley insists, "I can handle it, Avs.  I'll be cautious."

"Fine, if you say so."

The two were just conversing as Halley was driving.

They reminisced about their lives back then as well as what life could be like presently. They merely felt that for a brief while, they had the opportunity to simply enjoy the moment and be genuinely grateful, free from all the troubles they were now experiencing.

"If only our circumstances were different, maybe we'd be happier," Abbey remarked abruptly.

She was gazing out the window, blankly.

"Avs, things will get better soon," Halley said, reaching out her hand and smiling.

Abbey glanced at Halley as though saying something in which Halley immediately understood what she meant.

"I understand how significant it is for you to be with your dad," Halley attempted to smile, "but in the meantime, I will try to be a great sister to you."

"Hmm," Abbey considered, "will attempt to be a good sister after you took me to the pub earlier?"

"Fine," Halley chuckled, "I'll try harder to be good now."

"Just kidding! I know you're a fine bean," she winked.

"Did you actually call me a bean?!"

"Am I not permitted to, silly beanny?"

"What?! Silly beanny?!"

"Just kidding!"

After that, the two just laughed and keep goofing around with each other until they arrived at the hotel. They were about to go inside after properly parking the car when Abbey stopped Halley.
