A week later...

*knock knock*

"Ma, I'm done now," Halley remarked after knocking.

"That's great," Tricia responded, "but could you kindly get your brother dr—"

"Everything is finished, Mama, Dan and I have been ready to board."

"Okay, thanks, Ate!" She speak after she opened the door for her children, "Where are your backpacks, let me check them?"

"Mama, everything is packed na po. Papa made sure to prepare everything last night," Adan told their Mama, "let's leave na po!"

"All right," she giggles, "I just want to check your belongings because you know your papa and we would not want to leave anything, right?"

"We know, Ma," Halley smiled.

She then picked up their mama's handbag.

"We'll carry this na Mama, you also know your bogs don't want you carrying anything."

"Yeah, Mama, that's why Papa had loaded our luggage into the car before he left earlier," Adan informed.

"Alright, let's go," she stated.

Smiling at her children.

Tricia double-checked every room to see if all doors had been secured and that no wires were left plugged in. Once they were ready, the three of them walked downstairs.

Halley helped her brother in getting comfy in their automobile before accompanying their mother in securing the house, and they both hopped inside the car after that.

"Kids, seatbelts on," Tricia instructed her children.

"Done, Mama!" exclaimed the two.

"Are you two certain you haven't missed anything?"

The children nodded at Tricia in return, hence she smiled at them before starting the car then hit the road shortly, on their way to the hospital to see Vince.

*in the car*

It took approximately an hour and a half for Tricia and her children to get halfway to their destination.

"Mama, are we there yet?" Adan inquired as their car came to a halt.

"Not yet, we just stopped because of red lights," she said, pointing to the traffic lights, "but don't worry, we're close."

"I'm getting hungry, could we eat po?"

"Certainly, Kuya, we'll grab lunch before our departure," she replied, returning her gaze to her children.

She noticed Adan nodded at her before resuming his iPad gaming, she then diverted her gaze to Halley; who was seated next to Adan, and observed her napping.

Indeed, Vince and Tricia have observed that their daughter was never sleeping properly; some nights, she was still awake at daybreak, and then when they checked her room, they found that she'd been plagued by her nightmares.

Even when the couple questioned Halley if she had a problem or if anything bothered her, she always replied that none disturbed her and that she was fine and nothing to be concerned about.

Tricia was deep in thought when someone caught her attention, so she swiftly averted her focus to a coffee shop. Even if the person wasn't facing her within eyes, she could tell.

She smiled at the thought of recognizing her husband Vince's physique shape.

Was planning to turn the car around when she observed him conversing with someone.
