Chapter 17: If things weren't that complicated

     Vince get off his car then heads inside the building immediately, he was greeted by Sevy who had been there much earlier than him.

"Welcome to your temporary office, boss V." Sevy and his team cheerfully greeted him.

But Vince seems to be occupied.

He didn't even bother replying to them.

He just casually nod before heading inside his main office.

"Sev, did you have the papers?"

"I couldn't get the original copy from the office, but they had confirmed the replacement."

     Sevy walked towards his desk and showed Vince the letter of accuracy.

     "15 years ago na pala nung na-grant ito?"

"Oo ang tagal na, kaya nag tataka ako bakit gusto mong malaman yan."

"I just want to confirm kung pinalitan nga nila yung pangalan ni Abbey, which they've done." Vince stated while still scanning the letter.

"Oo hindi na Valdez yung gamit niya, surname na ni Tricia."

"So basically, she had been using Salman since she was a kid and didn't know anything about her Valdez."

By the tone of Vince, Sevy could trace that he was already had plans, but for what?

"Balak mo bang sabihin yan sa bata?"

"Maybe, maybe not."

"Huy Vicente, mamaya hindi naman pala nila sinabi kay Abbey yung tungkol jaan."

"I'm not surprised kung hindi alam ni Abbey ang tungkol dito, she didn't even have any id—"

"Akala ko ba move on na, bakit on the process of—"

"Sev, I've moved on. We've moved on."

"Eh bakit galit padin?"

"Sinong galit?" Vince chuckled.

"If I were to conclude all this, syempre iisipin ko balak mo itong sabihin sa anak ni Greg tama."

     Vince remained silent but still had this odd smirked on his lips.

     "For what reason?"

Sevy asked, but once again Vince didn't respond.

"Did you at least consider na may sakit yung bata, maybe that's one reason kaya hindi masabi nila Trish sa kanya yung tungkol dito?"

     "I've asked her about this kanina if she can handle unexpected things, she said yes."

     "Doctor ka padin, baka nakakalimutan mo. Ikaw ang mas nakakaalam kung anong—"

    "Sev, I know what I'm doing."

     "Mukhang ikaw pa ang nagsisimula ng g—"

     "Hindi ako ang nag simula nito, Sev. Alam mo yan."

     "Oh see, edi tama nga ako. Yan ba yung naka move on na?"

"Naka move on lang with our lives, hindi nakapag-patawad o nakalimot."

"How can you move on without forgiving?"

"Try dying but not physically, you'll be left with no choice but to just move on."

Sevy couldn't blame Vince for his words and the way he was now, he'd been through his worst.

"No comment." Sevy shrugged then stood up from his seat. "By the way, you have a meeting later. Check your schedules in your iPad, I've set it all already."
