Vince was supposed to head back home after finishing work at the field but he spent another hour meeting with their buyers.

It wasn't on his schedule but he still did entertain it, thinking the meeting would be for an hour only.

     Turns out, he was wrong.

And when it was almost done, the rain started pouring.

Great timing, the only thing he can think, especially now that he has to drive fast to get home.

"Do we have the deal?" His client asks.

"Yes, we'll contact you for further updates."

As soon as they were done, he checks his phone and saw messages from Tricia and Halley.

     *Dialing - Tricia*

It takes a couple of rings before she answers.

     "Vince, where are you?"

     "I'm coming home, Tricia."

     "What took you so long?"

Worrying can be traced in her voice.

"Kids were waiting for you, kanina pa."

     "I know, I know. I'm sorry."

"They already fell asleep na nga."

"Sorry talaga, I just have an unexpected meeting."

"Sige na, just come home safe. It's raining outside, ingat sa pag-drive."

"I don't have my car with me, hindi ko pa nakukuha. Anong oras na, hindi ko na dadaanan yun, bukas na."

"You're using your motor pa rin?" She asks and he said yes. "Okay, drive safely."

"Thanks, see you at home," Vince said as they bid goodbye and waited for Tricia to end their call.

Vince wasn't prepared for the rain.

He doesn't even have a raincoat with him.

But then he still hopped in his motorbike.

Wishing that he could come home fast.

     Then hit the roads after.

He was still a couple of miles away from their house when the rain started pouring heavily.

Vince was already soaking wet and yet he still did not mind it at all—at that moment all he wanted to do was to come home and see his family.

Halfway across his route, his motorbike started making weird noises.

"No, no, no," he uttered.

Eventually, it stops.

Vince needed to park at the side of the road for a while as he checks and tried fixing what seems to be wrong.

     "C'mon," he started the engine.

Once Vince thought he was good to go, he hopped in his motorbike then hit the road.

The lights coming from the passing cars were dazzling so badly it almost blinded Vince and soon lost his control in driving.

Back at home...

Tricia had recently ended her phone call with Greg—who called her soon after Vince—like he always does in the evening since when they were not with him.
