Chapter 27: When still concerned

Another day had come. Tricia woke up and almost forgot that she was still in Cebu. She quickly sits up straight then reached for her phone to check the time.

     It was a bit late than her usual time of waking up.

But it was fine.

Tricia had nothing to do that day except on daily checking her mails.

     She then saw Abbey had been calling her and even an unknown number too, but good thing it says in another message that it was Andrei.

     Tricia then realized that maybe Adan had thrown his tantrums again that morning so she called Abbey.

     A couple of rings at first before she picks up.

     "Good Morning, mum!" Abbey greeted. "Dan, say good morning to mommy."

     "Good Morning Mommy!" Adan greeted to.

     "Hi po tita, good morning!"

     She heard Halley too and greeted them back.

     Tricia can trace the excitement on the kids' voice but then she also heard another sound, like they were in a car driving.

     "Why are you calling me earlier? Sorry, I wasn't able to pick it up, I'm still sleeping." She explains to them.

     "It's about Dan, mum."

     "Why? Did he throw his tantrums again?"

     "No, mommy." She heard Adan answered. "I behave po like what you told me."

     "That's good baby, oh then why your ate calls me?"

     "Baby Dan keep saying po that he likes to go out and play, I'm about to ask for permission po but tito Andrei said h—"

     Abbey was explaining when Andrei cut her off and motioned to her to pass him the phone.

     "Hi, Trish! I take the kids out. I hope you don't mind, cute ng bunso mo." He chuckled.

     "Hi Drei, yeah that's what Abbey is telling me now. No worries, as long as they have someone to look after them okay lang."

     "I'll take them in a park, tinawagan kita para mag paalam sana kaso ring lang ng ring phone mo."

     "Yeah, I'm still sleeping, sorry ha."

     "Pinagod ka ba ni Vicente?"

     "Drei?!" Tricia frowned as she raised her voice.

     Tricia knew Andrei was with the kids and even with Halley so she gets a little concerned with his words.

     "Relax, I mean nag sungit ba sayo buong araw ganun." Andrei chuckles as he made an excuse.

     "Make it clear naman kasi."

"Alam ko naman na it is impossible to happen." He clears himself then chuckled again. "By the way Trish, can we talk later?"

"Okay Drei, you're driving pa ata sige na."

"Ninong, I'll talk to tita po."

She heard Halley speaks and waited.

"Hi, again tita."

"Hi, Hailey. Do you need anything?"

"Uhm, can I ask for a favor po?"

"Sure." Tricia smiled but she was curious too about what would Halley favored her.

     "Diba you and papa were friends naman po right." Halley started then took a deep breath before she continues. "Tita please look after papa po, make sure he won't see or date—"
