In the morning...

Vince was the first to awaken after hearing gentle giggles as well as a sound from a nearby video game.

Wondering what it would be, he slowly opened his eyes and to his surprise, he spotted his son across their bed.

He stared towards him with caution since he wasn't convinced whether he was hallucinating or if Adan was indeed in their room.

Positive he secured their door last night.

     Oh sh*t, he facepalmed himself.

Vince cautiously drew up the comforters, ensuring to secure himself as well as his wife Tricia, who had been soundly sleeping alongside him.

"What are you doing here, buddy?" he questioned, quite firmly enough for Adan to hear.

"I'm playing. Ate Halley said I can stay inside your room since she's gone," he explained.

"Does your Ate leave? Where has she gone?"

And most of all, how did she manage to unlock our door, Vince pondered in the back of his mind.

"On the rooftop, po. She also mentioned I wasn't allowed to be in your bed for some reason, so I simply stayed here on the couch."

Vince seems to be confused as to how to respond to what his son has been stating.

The boy grumbled, glared at his papa, then folded his arms above his chest.

"Wait! Who put me back in our room po?" He asks furiously, "I said last night I wanted to sleep here diba po."

Vince literally laughed as well as scratched his head.

"Yeah, however, I have to transfer you back your room s—"

"I hate you now, Papa," the child said honestly.

He predicted that reaction from their son, nevertheless he promptly thought of what he would respond.

     "Are you upset with me?"

     "Yeah!" Adan replied, arms crossed.

"You're already sleeping which is why I brought you back into your room, plus Mama and I have a surprise for you."

It captivated Adan's interest, and his mood seemed to shift instantly.

     "What's the surprise, Papa?"

He dashed towards the bed, but Vince made certain to secure his wife beside him and let Adan lay on the other side of the bed alongside him.

"What really is the surprise, Papa?" Adan persisted.

"It's no longer a surprise when I tell it," Vince grinned, "and besides, you hate me, right?"
