Leaning on the glass sliding door, Vince could see the life he always hopes for since the day he found the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with.
Unfortunately, life had thrown them some curveballs at such bad timing.
But that was years ago. Vince was certain he wouldn't lose this chance, now that he has them all back.
His two goofballs were sitting with their mama at the large hammock right outside the garden.
Isn't it crazy that after all those years we both have been through, all the pain we've caused each one, I still fall head over heels for you...
Facing their backs, Tricia and their kids had no idea that Vince was already walking towards them.
I won't let you go now...
Trying his best not to create a single noise which he succeeded then wrapped them inside his embrace.
"Who wants KFC for dinner?" He surprised them, showing the paper bags in his hand.
"Me!" Both Halley and Adan exclaimed.
"C'mon let's eat, ate get the paper bags."
"Should I get utensils or they have—"
"They already had it inside, anak."
"Nice," Halley checks it, "oh, wait, mama and I made some drinks earlier. It will go well with this, I'll just go grab them."
"Okay, be quick, sweet pea. We'll eat, I'm sure gutom na kayo," Vince smiled.
"Starving, papa!"
"Very typical of you, 'nak."
"Just got it from you," she winked at him.
That's my Halley, Vince chuckles before he gestured to his daughter to go ahead.
They watched Halley made her way back inside the house before Vince set up their table and chairs.
"I'll help you na," Tricia offered.
"I'm almost done, hon, salamat."
"Sus, sige na, so we can fi—"
Tricia wasn't even done speaking when Vince quickly pulled her for a hug before he planted a kiss on her forehead.
"I have this for you pala, hon," he handed some flowers to her.
"What's this for, hon? Hindi ko naman birthday," Tricia giggles then accepted it.
Vince cupped her face.
"I just want to give you some flowers, hon, it's been a while since I did it."
"Aw, that's so sweet of you," she cupped his face too, "thank you for this, hon, I love them."
"Yung flowers lang, hon?"
Tricia giggles.
Slightly pinched his nose.
"That's not what I'm waiting for, hon," Vince was grinning at her.
Pulling her closer towards him.
None dared to cut their eye contact.
"Hmm," she smiled as if thinking.
And before Vince could speak again, Tricia closes their gaps with a quick and sweet kiss, "thank you for the flowers, hon, love you."
"Sorop," he said making Tricia slightly laughs, "love you too, hon."
