Note: Don't play the YouTube video yet, start it on the perfect scene.
"Do it for me."
Tricia wanted to refuse thinking it wasn't what she expected but the other half of her was dying to say, yes I would love to.
But before she could even speak, Vince grabbed a microphone for her.
He already had one for himself then walked towards the live band.
He told them to play whatever they had on the playlist and they would just sing along with it.
And as soon as guests saw Vince holding the microphone and on his way back to Tricia, everyone else inside was cheering them and some were beyond surprised.
Without further ado, Vince offered his hand towards Tricia which she gladly accepted.
Vince could feel Tricia's cold sweat.
He smiled.
"Breath. It's not like we're performing for a competition." He told her while gently rubbing her hands.
"I haven't sung in ages."
"This is your idea, sino bang may gusto nito?"
"I was talking about you only, hindi ko naman sinabing isama mo pa ako dito."
"Too late, we're already here." Vince chuckled.
Tricia hasn't noticed that they already reached the stage and could hear handclaps and few cheers from the crowd.
"First line is yours, okay. You know the flow." Vince told her.
"What? Why do I have to sing first."
"Lady's first." He smiled
Tricia frowned at Vince making him smiled even more then he gently squeezed her hands again.
"But seriously, Trish. Relax and enjoy the song."
(|AN| I suggest you play the song now to feel the scene.)
The first note played.
Tricia took a deep breath and she couldn't deny the fact that the way Vince's held her hands made her at ease and comfortable.
If we both decide to try and make it one more time
I hope we take the time to know each other well
And if the answers don't come quick we'll go with how it feels
And sometimes that's not 'Yes' or 'No'Tricia couldn't keep her eyes away from Vince when he intertwined their hands and joined her in singing.
But maybe there'll be no falling stars this time around
I still believe that honesty is all we'll ever need
You and me again, maybeIt was also Vince's first time to sing again for almost decades but it seems like only yesterday and he still got the keys right.
You keep asking me if I will love you for all time
If two of us will be enough to make it strong
And if we learn to keep it free and let each other grow
We'll find out there's no 'Yes' or 'No'Both Tricia and Vince faced each other as if in a cue.
Just maybe there'll be no falling stars this time around
