Later that day...
The Gomez family, as planned, celebrated the birthdays of Halley and Abbey with such a modest meal alongside their family's friends in a restaurant near the coast.
The actual plan would have been to throw another party, but the two ladies insisted that they'd already had just enough pleasure the day before.
"Woah! There's the cake!" Adan announces as he spotted their papa entering.
Vince was holding a cake while his friends, Emman and Andrei, abruptly popped the party poppers.
Halley and Abbey glanced back.
"Really, Papa?"
"What?" He chuckled.
"We said no more surprises."
"Your mama insisted."
Tricia giggles while video recording them all, "I'm sorry, sweet pea. I know your papa and I said no more surprises but I just can't let your birthday pass without the cakes!"
"Hmm! I hope it's only the cake po ha."
"Yup. Promise, sweet pea."
Halley giggles, "love you so much!"
Once Vince placed the cake right in front of the two celebrants—of course, the singing also ended—he smiled at them, greets them a Happiest Birthday before he planted a soft kiss on their foreheads.
"Thanks, Papa," the two said in chorus.
"Make a wish and blow y—"
"No! Wait!" Adan exclaimed and caught all their attention, "Papa, Mama, I want to blow the candles too."
"Well then ask your ate's po, baby," Tricia smiled at him.
"No need, babie," Abbey says.
Halley signals to him, "come here na."
"Yay! Thank you!"
Adan ran towards his sisters to join them in blowing their candles. All their guests were sending them their sweet messages, a long and short one—it doesn't matter as the two ladies appreciated them all equally.
Meanwhile, Vince made his way towards his wife who was busy video recording their kids and chatting with her girlfriends.
"Honey," he gently pulled her inside his arms then caressed her bare tummy.
Tricia smiled then turned the camera on him, "thank you for picking up the cake for the girls, Papa."
Vince kisses her temple, "welcome, hon," he says before he took the camera from his wife, "off ko na ito ha."
"Hon, just look at them. Ang sweet nila noh?"
"Sweet din ang parents nila eh."
"Mostly their papa," Tricia giggles.
He chuckled as he keeps his arms tightly but gently locked around his wife, "oo, hon. Kasi yung mama nila topakin eh."
"Hmm! Nang-inis pa!" Tricia pinches her husband's nose before facing him.
"Hilig mo yung ilong ko, honey?"
Tricia didn't say a word.
Instead, she sweetly smiled up to Vince then pulled him for a tight embrace, careful not to squeeze their growing little bean.
