At exactly 2:35 in the morning, Greg was all set and ready to leave for his early flight that day.
He was getting all his bags and luggage ready when Tricia woke up, probably because of the light noises he caused.
"Did I wake you up, love?" He asks.
"It's fine, love." Tricia sits up on their bed.
She noticed that Greg was all set and so his bags too.
"You want me to make you something before you leave, love?"
"I had coffee na kanina, thank you love."
"Ano, want me and kids to drive with you to the airport? Hatid ka namin?"
"Huwag na love, we know Adan. And besides, sobrang aga pa."
"Okay love, hatid na lang kita sa baba."
"Sige love, I'll kiss goodbye to our kids na rin. Anong oras na, I have to go."
Tricia nodded at him then quickly stood up, she reached for her robe since she was wearing her nighties only and it was still freezing cold.
The two head out of their room and went to Abbey's room first, he left his things outside.
Greg sat on the edge of Abbey's bed and so did Tricia, they decided to slowly wake her up so Greg can say goodbye to her.
Abbey understands that her papa had to travel countries-to-countries because of his work.
"Sweetie, say goodbye to daddy na." Tricia softly said.
Abbey rubbed his eyes and saw her dad sitting beside her.
"I'll leave now, my sweetie. Take care of your brother, okay. Huwag painitin ulo ni mommy." Greg said as he planted a kiss on her forehead.
"Goodbye dad, have a safe flight. Always call us after your work po ha, we will miss you." Abbey hugged him.
"Yes ate. I love you."
"I love you too, dad."
The two bid their final goodbye and let Abbey get back to sleep before they went to Adan's room next.
They didn't bother waking him up for they knew how hard it was to say goodbye to Adan, he was still young and doesn't completely understand why his dad has to leave.
"Goodbye, baby boy. Daddy will miss you so much, take care of mama while I'm gone."
Greg told him as if he was actually talking to Adan, he then hugged him before planting a kiss on his forehead when Adan hugged him back.
"He will miss you din daw, daddy." Tricia said while smiling.
After Greg's bidding goodbye to the kids, he and Tricia made their way downstairs so she can walk him outside.
"This is it, love, we'll be parted again." Greg heaves a sigh as he walked towards Tricia.
He reached for her hands then placed them on his shoulders before he pulled her closer to him.
Almost hugging her.
"How long will you be gone again, love? A week?" Tricia asks him.
"Yes, love, a week or two."
"Don't forget to call us ha, mamimiss ka namin ng mga bata."
