The next day...
As they returned to their car, Tricia asked, "Hon, what happened?"
"Halley contacted me," Vince explained, "she said we needed to get there because Abbey couldn't come."
Vince made sure they had been wearing seat belts before they departed, notably securing the one for his wife.
"Aren't they supposed to meet now?"
"I understand that honey, but Halley told me she tried calling Abbey yet she wouldn't answer her phone anymore."
For a brief moment, the couple seemed concerned by Abbey's absence, considering Adan and Halley had been looking forward to seeing her. They didn't want to be overly bothered, however, thinking Abbey could be dealing with something else and it would be nothing to be worried about.
"Have you spoken to Abbey already, Honey?"
"Hon, I haven't spoken to her since they returned to London."
"Try contacting her right now, Trish."
"But, hon, you're aware that she no longer responds to my messages and phone calls; perhaps she's still not ready to speak to me, to us."
Tricia noticed Vince as he heave a sigh and reached out to softly fondle both of her hands, prompting her to gaze at him.
"She won't talk to you because of what I did," he continued, clicking his tongue, "Trish, forgive me if my actions have wrecked even your relationship with her."
"Hon, I recognize Abbey doesn't comprehend everything yet, but I understand what you did. I know you want to explain everything to her and provide your side of the story."
"Unfortunately, she won't listen to me, never spoke to me, and can't bear to see me."
"She needs time to think."
"You're right, honey; she requires time; hopefully, before we return to Manila, I will be able to finally explain everything to her."
"That's what I'd have preferred as well, hon, but keep in mind that we shouldn't compel her to do so."
Vince merely nodded and continued driving, saying, "I understood and I'll do exactly. I'll wait."
--------
Tricia and Vince arrived at the location wherein their children have been awaiting after a 20-minute drive.
"Finally!" Said Halley as she spotted them.
She takes her brother in her arms and hurries towards their parents.
Prior to conversing about what happened to Halley and Abbey's intended plan for today, everyone simply greet each other and share hugs and kisses.
"I'm not sure what's wrong with Abbey; she simply told me she couldn't come," Halley explained.
"Well, let us not pressure Abbey if she can't come; perhaps she's a bit preoccupied with something urgent," Tricia remarked.
"That's what I'm thinking," Halley agreed, "anyway, Ma, the flowers needed at the venue have been delivered, let's check it out so everything would be ready for tomorrow."
Their family entered the facility immediately and spoke with the event organizer.
Tricia and Vince were mostly discussing since their celebration was happening tomorrow, and they were simply seeking several ideas from their children.
