Chapter 36: Confession Session (Part 1)

The Next Day...

Vince had already woke up and things had been running in his mind the whole night but this morning he decided to let things be.

     He was taking his time to let the moment lingers for he does not have any assurance of what comes ahead of them.

     He looked beside him and knew Tricia was still sleeping.

     I know it would be hard or maybe impossible for you to come back into our life now but is it wrong if I hope to...

     Vince let out a heavy sigh.

     He gently caressed Tricia's head and planted a kiss on her temple.

Tricia felt it.

She kept her eyes closed.

     Reached Vince's nape to rubbed it but did not speak any word.

They stayed in that position.

As if no one wants to withdraw from their tight and warm embrace for each other.

Until Vince heard his phone vibrating at the nightstand near them, he remembers putting their phones on silent last night.

*19 Missed Calls*

Vince sighed after seeing Andrei and Lei had been calling him since this morning.

He also checks Tricia's phone.

*8 Missed Calls* from Andrei too.

"Oh shoots," Vince said and thought something might happen, otherwise Andrei wouldn't have called them several times.

For the last time, Vince softly kissed Tricia's temple, and even if he wants to stay in bed and cuddled with her more he still withdrew gently.

Vince saw Tricia move a little.

     He grabbed a pillow, placed it next to her.

     Shortly after, he left the room and dialed Andrei's number immediately.

     "Glad you respond, kanina ka pa namin tinatawagan ni Lei," Andre said on the other line. "Have you read my messages?"

     "Hindi pa, sorry I was busy. Did anything happen?"

     Andrei started the story from the time he woke up and was about to grab himself a glass of water when he noticed the door from the restricted room was left ajar and lights were turned on.

     The next thing he knew, he saw Halley and Abbey both laying on the ground unconscious so he had to call for emergency and brought them to the hospital immediately.

He assured Vince that both girls were now stable and taking their time to rest in different rooms.

"But to tell you lang pare, Hal knew about Tricia na. She had been asking me about this lately, hindi ko man lang napansin."

"Thank you, drei. Kami na ni Tricia bahalang mag paliwanag sa kanya."

"Sige, I've been calling Trish nga din kaso hindi sumasagot. Hinahanap siya ni baby Adan."

     "Asan siya?"

     "He's here beside me, gusto mong kausapin?"

     Vince agrees and waited for Andrei to pass the phone to Adan so he can talk with him too.

     It was nothing much actually.

     He just wants to ask Adan how was he and assured him that everything will be fine and he and Tricia will probably fly back to Manila that morning.
