Tricia successfully got Adan to sleep after nine o'clock in the evening; the boy had been so hyperactive from playing with his peers since then.

She was still laying beside her son when the doors carefully opened.

"Mum, is he asleep na po?" Abbey asks.

"Finally," she almost whispered.

Abbey nodded then quietly walked towards her table as Tricia noticed her so she carefully rose from the bed.

"Sweetie, aren't you going to sleep?" Tricia asks then sits right next to her.

"Wait, Mum. I just have to send this mail po," she told her.

"Okay, hurry up and go to bed na rin."

     "Yes, Mum."

"And where's Halley? Thought she wants to rest also?"

     "She's outside po with papa."

Tricia couldn't help but smile upon hearing what Abbey just called Vince though she often hears it already for the past days.

"Okay," she nodded then stood up as she planted a kiss on top of Abbey's head.

     "What's that for, Mum?"

     She smiled, "wala lang."

     "Hmm?"

Tricia hugs her, "I'm just happy that you're calling Vince Papa also not Tito."

Abbey held her mom as she gazed at her, "he's a good man, Mum. It isn't hard for me to get along with him po. He loves his family. He loves you, Halley, and Dan."

     "He loves you too, Abbey."

"Even after what my dad did to your—"

"No, sweetie," she cups her face, "you have nothing to do with your dad's actions. It's him who did wrong not you."

"You could have fixed your family soon, Mum. I could have speak earlier and yet I did not. I didn't say anything."

Tricia softly caressed her cheeks, "you did, sweetie. That's why we're here."

No words came out from Abbey.

She just stared at her mom then pulled her for a tight embrace as she tried her best not to shed a tear, I could have speak now but I still didn't, I'm sorry...

*phone rings*

Abbey quickly grabbed her phone to turn it off before it woke up Adan.

Tricia frowned upon reading the name on Abbey's phone screen before she even took it, "your dad still keeps calling you?" She asks.

"Uhm," Abbey panted.

"How can he even call you?"

"I don't know too, Mum."

"Do you want me to tell it t—"

"No, no, please Mum. Don't tell papa about it po. Dad's not bothering me or anything, he just wants to know how am I doing," she said as an excuse.

Tricia heaves a sigh. She smiled a bit then nodded at her, "you go rest now."

"Thank you, Mum," she says as she stood then hugs her mom again before she carefully gets up to bed and laid beside her brother.

"Good night, sleep tight."

"Love you so much, Mum."

"I love you too, sleep now," Tricia planted a kiss on Abbey's forehead before she quietly left the room.
