chapter thirty three;

I was sitting on the couch in the studio's control room. I was listening to the band as they were going over songs.

I walked into the booth to hear Freddie saying something.

"Darlings this stuff is old news! We need new music! I say we try recording a new album. I'll talk to Paul and see what we can do, but we need to have a plan by the end of this year." He ranted.

"I have a song request, if you don't mind playing it." I said sweetly, hoping he'd say yes.

"Of course darling! I could never say no to you. What do you want to hear?" Fred asked.

"I bet I already know what she's going to say," I heard my drummer boyfriend sat behind his kit.

"Seven Seas of Rhye!" Roger and I said in unison, although I had enthusiasm.

"Sure thing Maddie, alright boys from the top." I heard Brian say as he stood up.

This song had to be my favorite yet. I hope they do make more music, but this will always be one of tiny favorites.

"I'll take you to the Seven Seas of Rhye!"

As the song finished, I clapped and jumped in amazement. The band was truly amazing. Especially Roger's drumming. It was noon, so I decided I was going to into town and surprise the lads with donuts.

"Hey Rog, I'm going to go to the store and get a few things for the flat, alright?"

"Alright love, don't be too long or I'll miss you." He fake pouted, and I grabbed the keys from his jacket.

I headed out to a bakery that was right down the road from the studio they recorded at. I picked up two dozen donuts and five coffees. Once I had finished getting them, I made my way back to the studio.

I walked in with a cupholder and two donut boxes. I went into the control room where they weren't paying attention to me. I pressed the blue button that lets me talk to them through the speakers.

"Hey guys, I got you all donuts and coffees. I thought you guys deserved a break with some treats," I said as they all looked at me. They bursted through the door of the control room like mad men, and got five donuts each along with their coffee.

"You guys must really like donuts," I said laughing as Deaky shoved them into his mouth.

"Thank you for the treats love, you didn't have to do that," Roger said as I sat next to him. He kissed me on the cheek, then I kissed his sugar covered lips.

"Your lips taste quite nice, better than they usually do," I teased.

"Man, I should eat donuts more often," he said as he others rolled their eyes.

"I think you two darlings are so cute together still. I can't believe I got you together," Freddie said as he finished his donuts and sipped his coffee.

I'm still so grateful to have such caring people in my life.
