chapter one hundred seventy two;

12:00 pm
Maddie's POV

"Oh my, they're perfect!" Winnie said as tears almost strolled down her face.

"Thank you mum, we worked very hard on them," Roger chuckled. I slapped his arm lightly as his mother chuckled.

"Could I hold one?" She asked.

"Of course, Clare you can too," I smiled. Roger got up and handed Ben to Winnie, and Holly to Clare.

"Dad you'll get your turn soon," Roger said. Michael nodded and proceeded to talk to Roger.

After a while, they got to hold both the babies. Winnie and Michael were so happy they were finally a grandparents, and Clare was extremely happy she was an aunt.

"Who picked the names?" Clare asked.

"Well Roger picked Ben's name, and I picked Holly's." I said.

"What's their full names?" Winnie asked.

"Ben's is Ben Fredrick John, and Holly's is Holly Mae Meddows," Roger smiled.

"Ah! You used Meddows!" Winnie clapped her hands.

"Did you think of Meddows?" I asked her. She smiled and nodded happily.

Once we were done, we said our goodbyes.

Roger and I are lunch, which led me to have to feed the twins.

"Sometimes I wish I was a baby so I could get to suck on you boob," Roger said sounding a bit sad.

"Oh Rog, you've already done that though. It's their turn to have their share," I giggled a bit.

8:00 pm

"Hey dad," I said as he came in.

"Hello sweetie, how're you feeling?" He asked.

"I'm fine now, they're reading me tomorrow morning so I'll get to go home. I'm just glad I finally get to see you around more," I smiled.

I truly missed him all these years, I really wished my mother wasn't such a horrible person.

There was another knock at the door. Roger went to answer it.

Shit.

"Madelyn you didn't tell me you had twins," she said.

"Because I told you so many times that I don't want you in my life," I told my mother as she walked in. She laid eyes on my father, and she was in shock.

"Jason, what a surprise you're here. I hoped Madelyn wouldn't find you. I needed her to have a better lifestyle, and that's something you wouldn't give." She said rudely.

"I'm glad he found me, and I'd be better off without you. I fucking want you out of my life but you won't fucking listen," I said. Roger was just watching this all go down, I nodded at him because there was nothing he could do.

"Madelyn language!" She shouted at me.

"She wants to go by Maddie," my dad snapped at her.

"I didn't name her Maddie I named her Madelyn," she scoffed.

"Get out." I said.

"But I came to see my grandchildren," she said innocently.

"I don't want you in their lives, and I don't plan on letting them meet you. Get the fuck out before I call security," I said seriously.

She scoffed and walked out. What kind of stuck up woman says that to a man she once loved.

Just then, there was another knock. Roger opened it, and the sight I saw made tears come to my eyes.

"Mary!" I said through my happy tears.
