"Okay Maddie, this is going to be a bit of a surprise but I've got to say it now. I know it's you're birthday and you don't want to hear this, but tomorrow we've got to leave and go straight on tour," Roger said.

"When will it end?" I asked.

"Next August, Paul made Freddie agree to a longer tour because he convinced Freddie that we should take a break from recording another album next year," he said.

I nearly spit out my tea.

"August?! That's insane that's almost a year!" I said.

"I know, I know. But if we don't record next year that means I'll get to have more time with you and the twins," he said.

"Alright I'll do it," I said.

"Do what?" He asked in confusion.

"Go on tour with you. I know I can't take the twins to loud ass rock concerts, so we might as well just ask your mum to take care of them while we're gone for so long. I can't fucking stay home without you for almost a year that's too much," I said.

"I'll call my mum, start packing almost everything you own," he chuckled.

Ten minutes later.
Roger's POV

It was still a bit early, and I decided to cook Maddie's favorite breakfast since it's her birthday. Also because I felt bad about telling her about the tour today.

After I finished up her french toast with waffles, eggs, and bacon on the side I set it on the table. I also made the twins bottles so they could eat with her too.

I went to go get the twins quickly before the food got cold, I set them in their high chairs and let them drink their bottles.

"Maddie come down here!" I shouted.

I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. She came through the kitchen door frame and smiled.

"You did this for me?" She said excitedly as she saw her breakfast and our kids.

"Of course, it's your birthday. I needed to do something for you of course," I said as I kissed her cheek. She sat down and snuggled both the twins before she started to eat.

I went in the living room and dialed my mums number. Hopefully she was willing to do it, especially for so long.

"Hello?" Clare said on the other line.

"Hey Clare is mum there?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'll get her," she said.

There was a bit of mumbling and talking in the background. Suddenly the phone was picked up and my mother's soft voice came from the other line.

"Roger, hello sweetheart. How's Maddie and the twins?" She asked.

"They're doing great, but I need a really huge favor," I said.

"I'd do any huge favor, go on," she said.

"Okay so you're probably not going to want to do it but tomorrow I need to leave to go on tour, and Maddie really wants to come because she can't be another tour without me. We don't want to take the twins because they're still growing, but we were wondering if you could watch them while we'll be gone?" I asked.

"Oh my goodness! Yes yes! I'd love to! When will you be back?" She asked.

"Next August... But there's a reason why. We're going to have a huge tour because next year we won't be recording an album, so this tour is something we'll be giving our fans before we take a break for a while. In that time after the tour, I could be home with Maddie and the kids," I said.

"That sure is a while. How about I do something, because I know the twins will miss you and I know you will miss the twins. I could come on tour with you, and I could pay for my own hotel rooms. While you do your shows, I could stay at the hotels and watch the babies," she said.

That wasn't a bad idea.

"I could get Miami to book you your own rooms. You come up with the best ideas mum," I said excitedly.

"Thank you sweetheart, call me tomorrow morning. I'll come by your house so we can drive to the airport," she said.

"Alright mum, thank you so much," I said.

I hung up the phone, I had to tell Maddie the news.
