June 29, 1978
These past three months have gone by so fast, but today was another exciting day.
John had just called from the hospital, and Veronica had just given birth to a baby boy.
"Roger come on! We've got to get going!" I said as I held the twins in the carriers. I swear I could get some muscle from carrying both of them.
"Alright alright I'm coming! I'm so excited to see Lizzie, she's already two," he said.
We hopped in the car and made our way to the hospital to meet the newborn. I was so happy for the Deacons, especially since we were so close to them.
An hour later.
"What'd you name him?" I asked.
"That's our new little Cameron Deacon," John smiled.
"I like that name, that's a really cute name," I beamed and I held the newborn. Lizzie was playing with Roger and was saying hello to the twins.
"Mad mad how are Holly and Ben?" Lizzie asked.
"They're doing good, soon they'll be old enough and they'll want to play with you," I said as I picked her up and pressed a kiss against her cheek.
Lizzie then held her arms out for Roger, I swear he is a child magnet.
"Are you happy you have a new little brother?" Roger asked.
"Yes I wanted a brother!" She said happily. We all laughed as she said this.
"Hey guys, we could take her if you'd like. You guys could have a little alone time with the new baby," Roger suggested.
"I'm fine with that, Elizabeth would you like to stay at Aunt Maddie and Uncle Roger's house for a bit?" Veronica asked. Lizzie nodded and duh her face into Roger's shoulder.
"Alright Maddie, I'll get Holly and Ben while you carry Lizzie. We have her spare car seat in the trunk, so she could sit in the middle of the twins," he suggested. I nodded as we said goodbye to the Deacons.
We went home, and as we did Queen played on the radio. Lizzie sang along to We Will Rock You.
"We will, we will rock you," we all sang in unison. Then Brian's guitar solo came on, and she pretended that she was playing an air guitar.
"You go Lizzie!" Roger said as we pulled up in the driveway. He got out to unlock the gate, and got back in to pull the car in.
"We really need to get an automatic code for that damn gate," he said.
"Agreed, let's call a handyman when we get inside," I said.
He nodded and got the twins out. I grabbed Lizzie and we made our way into the house.
Lizzie got to play with the twins, they giggled when she started playing peekaboo with them.
This is all I ever wanted.
