"Roger, I need to leave now or I'll be late to the doctor's appointment," I said as I tried to get dressed.

I was now about eight or nine weeks pregnant. My body gets a bit sore here and then, but I was just going to have to deal with it.

"Alright love, please do be careful. I don't care if I'm sick and can't go, you better be careful." He said as he groaned. He wasn't feeling too good this morning.

"I will sweetheart, I'll be back in a while. Alright?"

"Alright," he said. I kissed his forehead and caressed his cheek and smiled. He smiled back.

"Just hope you aren't sick for your birthday tomorrow," I said. He groaned as I left the house.

An hour later.

"Madelyn Taylor." The doctor said.

I got up and followed him back to the room where I would be having my ultrasound.

"Alright, lay there and we'll get started." She smiled.

She started to run the gel against my belly, is was cold as fuck.

She started to rub the machine around on my belly, it tickled a bit but I got used to it.

I looked up on the monitor to see little dots. I knew the doctor could see the baby by the way she smiled.

"Wait, something looks a bit funny," she said.

"What is it? Is the baby alright?" I asked worriedly

She nodded she told me she would be right back with another doctor.

Once the other doctor came in with her, she showed him the ultrasound. He whispered something in his ear to where I couldn't hear it and she nodded.

He left the room, she looked at me reassuringly. What the hell was going on.

"Mrs. Taylor, we've got news." She said.

"Alright, bring it at me."

"You're having twins!" She smiled.

Oh my fucking goodness.

"T-Twins." I repeated. She nodded.

"I'm having t-twins..."

30 minutes later.

I arrived home. I was actually having fucking twins. The doctor even proved it to me and I bursted out into happy tears. I decided I was going to surprise Roger with that for his birthday tomorrow.

"Maddie?" Roger shouted.

"Yes love?" I shouted back. He came down and smiled at me. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed my forehead.

"Feeling better?" I asked.

"Indeed I am petal, I feel a lot better than I did this morning," he said.

We sat on the couch together, missing each other's touch.

"How's our little sprout doing?" He asked.

"That's the name you're giving him or her for now?" I giggled.

"Yes, I think it suits the baby for now." He chuckled as he rested his head against my belly.

This is all I wanted in life, was for my husband and my unborn children to make my life so much better. Roger's already done such a good job, but I needed to tell him tomorrow.

He was going to freak out.
