"Freddie please! Who knows how long he's willing to stay in that cupboard. He could die in there if it's long enough!" I said, trying to convince my best friend to put my boyfriend's song on his album.

"No Maddie, I can't. It's horrible, and what's it about anyways, a car? I don't care if it's a metaphor it's about a damn car!" He shouted.

"Please Freddie, just think about it please. I really need him out of there, and soon you will too to record music."

"Fine. I'll think about it," he said before he hugged me and walked away.

I went back into the house, Roger had been in there for who knows long. It was night time though, so it was a long time.

"Roger, I have news." I said as I knocked on the cupboard door.

"And what's that love?" He asked.

"Freddie said he'll think about putting it on the album, but it's not an exact answer right now."

"Maddie, I owe you so much right now." He said as he shifted his position in the cupboard.

"Shit!" He yelled.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Oh, I hit my head. I'm alright now. Go to sleep, you need rest and you shouldn't have to put up with my mess." He said.

"But I don't want you to be alone. What if you die in there overnight and I'm not here for when that happens?"

"Love, I'll be fine. I promise, just please get some sleep." He begged.

"But I'll miss you," I pouted.

"I'll miss you too, but just imagine what will happen if I get this chance? I could never get it again. Don't worry about me, I promise you I'll be fine." He said as he shifted his position again, I could tell he was uncomfortable.

"Alright, goodnight. I love you," I said as I got up.

"I love you too," I heard from inside.

I went to sleep that night to a Rogerless bed. I felt so alone without him here. I felt colder without him next to me, snuggling me to sleep. I really wish Freddie would just agree already because this got way too out of hand.
