chapter one hundred sixty six;

March 14, 1978
Maddie's POV

"Princess watch out!" I shouted before he jumped on Roger.

"Why are you saying watch out? You're the one we should be watching on," Roger chuckled as I sat next to him. He brought me into his arms, this is feeling I've missed forever.

"I've missed this," he said before he pressed a kiss against my forehead.

"I've missed it more," I said as I shifted my position a bit.

"They're almost here as well," Roger smiled as he put a hand against my stomach.

I rested mine on top of his. I felt one of them kick, which Roger seemed to be so fascinated by. He smiled and I snuggled closer to his chest.

"Just think, in a few short weeks we'll be coming home with children of ours," he said. I couldn't help but blush at the thought of it.

"I can't wait," I smiled.

This is all I wanted in my life right now. I wanted my husband, my dog, and the two twins that were already about to be in this world.

"We honestly shouldn't just sit around like this now that you're back, we should do something," I suggested.

"Petal, you're about nine months pregnant. There's no way you'll be able to do anything. Honestly I just wanted to come home and have beautiful sex, but you're already pregnant," he said.

"Just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean we can't cuddle more," I smirked. He looked at me then a cheeky grin grew on his face.

"I like the sound of that," he said.

I tried my best to straddle his waist with my legs, but it wasn't like it used to be. I had a huge belly in the way now. Roger started to kiss up and down my neck, I ran my fingers through his blonde locks.

I got this weird feeling, I jumped off of him and stood by the coffee table.

"Is something wrong?" Roger asked worriedly.

I couldn't say anything. I stood there with a weird feeling that shook my body. I then felt myself wet myself.

Fuck.

"Rog I-"

"Um are you alright?" He asked.

"M-My water just broke-" I said without trying to panic, though deep down I was having a panic attack.

I then bent over and rested my palms on the coffee table. I took deep breaths as Roger stared freaking out.

"What! Oh my- I'm about to be a parent! Quick do you have a hospital bag?" He asked.

"Veronica packed one for me. It's the one next to that suitcase," I said heavily as I tried pointing next to the door. Roger grabbed it and grabbed my hand.

I kept taking deep breaths, I didn't even bother to change.

"Come on Maddie how are you more calm than me right now?" He asked.

"Honestly I have no idea," I said as I breathed more.

Roger helped me into the car. I sat down and held my arms around my stomach.

Roger rushed me straight to the hospital. He grabbed the bag and helped me out of the car. He rushed, but slowly got me to the counter to check in.

"Um hello yes, my wife is in labor- and-" Roger panicked.

"Right this way Mr. Taylor," she said as she motioned us to follow her.
