chapter one hundred thirty three;

January 23, 1977
Madrid, Spain

We got back from the hospital for Maddie's check-up. We went to the hotel, we told the boys we were going out for lunch.

Luckily the doctor could speak english, and she told us that Maddie was fine. She didn't have any std's which relived me gratefully.

Maddie was always clung to my side now, which I wasn't complaining. I want her to be safe, she's my angel.

"R-Roger," she said as we got into the hotel room.

"Yes love?" I asked as I closed the door and hugged my arms around her.

"Well... I have a question." She said nervously.

"And what's that love?"

"Would you be mad if I wanted to go back to London and sit out the rest of the tour?"

I didn't say anything. I really wanted her to stay, but I knew she wasn't comfortable being out everywhere. I wasn't going to force her to stay if she didn't want to.

"Not at all petal, we can book you the first flight tomorrow morning when we leave to go to Berlin," I said. She smiled and gave me a hug.

"Thank you Roger, so much. I don't know what I ever did to deserve you," she said as she hugged my waist.

"Do you think Veronica would let you stay by her house? I don't want you staying in our house alone, besides she is watching Princess," I said.

"Oh I'm sure she wouldn't mind, but it's just what are we going to tell the boys? I can't just tell them what happened..." She said worried.

"Don't worry sweetheart, I can handle that. I just want you to feel safe, and I know you love it back at home," I said reassuringly.

She kissed me and jumped onto me. I held her and sat her on the bed. We cuddled for what felt like hours.

January 24, 1977
Maddie's POV

I really hated leaving Roger, I really did. Especially with him being on tour, it would be the hardest. Roger told me he told the boys some lie so I could go home.

We arrived at the airport, I was hand in hand with Roger. I hated doing this.

"Well this is it Meddows," I said as I squeezed Roger's hand.

"Indeed it is petal," he said as he brought me into his arms. This is where I deserved to be, in the arms of the man I love.

"Oh Maddie darling, we sure will miss you." Freddie said as he interrupted our moment.

"I'll miss you guys too," I said as I hugged him.

"Bye Maddie," Brian's and Deaky said in unison. I hugged them both and went back to Roger.

"A moment please," Roger said. They boys nodded and went back to what they were doing.

"I'll really miss you love," Roger said as he brought me into his arms.

"I'll miss you more," I said with a few tears pricking at my eyes.

"No I will, I love you so much sweetheart," he said. 

"I love you too, promise you'll call me every night?"

"Of course I will, Id even stop a show if I had to," he said. I giggled a bit and started to cry some.

"Aw don't cry petal, I promise it'll be over before you know it," he smiled reassuringly. I nodded and hugged him again.

"Last call for a flight for London," the intercom said.

"That's my cue," I said as I pulled back.

"I love you," I said as I kissed Roger lips one last time.

"I love you too."

I went to go get on my flight to London, god was I going to miss the boys.
