chapter eight seven;

November 4, 1975
Roger's POV

Maddie's birthday was officially in ten days, so I needed to do something huge as always.

I was in the kitchen at the moment, Maddie was still asleep. I had made some coffee and was reading the newspaper. I saw there were a few houses up for sale, and I saw one that had caught my eye.

It was a smaller two story, and had four bedrooms with three bathrooms. I thought it'd have to be perfect, there would be space in there to start a family as well.

I heard the phone ring so I went to go get it.

"Roger speaking."

"Rog darling, save the date. Your wedding will be October 7, 1975. I've gotten it all planned out already. The ceremony will be held in my back gardens I have in my house, and the reception will be in that ball room I have in my house I have no idea what to do with." Freddie said over the phone.

"That's perfect Fred, thank you so much for already getting a plan. It means so much," I said.

"Of course dear, Maddie's birthday is soon. What are you going to do to impress my best friend?" He asked.

"I'm going to buy a house."

"Woah really? I'll come tour it with you if you'd like, I'm one for house shopping," he said happily.

I gave him the details of the house I saw in the paper, I was going to call the number of the realtor so I could tour it.

I called the number and a woman answered, "Nancy Price speaking."

"Hi, my name is Roger Taylor. I saw that a house was on sale and I'd like to check it out," I said.

"Oh of course! Nobody's currently living in it, so you could tour it later today. Maybe say about 4 pm?"

I talked on the phone with her for a little while longer about the prices and stuff like that. I wasn't really worried about it because I wanted to do it for my beautiful fiancé.

I called Fred to let him know what time we would be touring it at. He agreed and I went to go check on Maddie, still fast asleep.

I wrote a note for her a left it on the bedside table so she could read it when she woke up. I needed to meet up with Fred so we could go to the house together.

2:00 pm

I went over to Freddie's house and showed him the picture of the house.

"Roger, it's very good. I approve of it, I like it a lot. It's homey and you could start a family in there," he said as he looked over it.

I'm glad he liked it because if he didn't, there would've been a problem.

We chatted until it was time to head over to the house,

3:30 pm

It was finally time to go check out the house. Freddie had called a limo for us. Apparently we needed to travel in 'luxury.'

The house was only down the street from Freddie's house, which would be perfect because we could visit him and he could visit us nI honestly though we didn't need the limo but it's whatever.

When we pulled up the th house, there was a gate in front of it. We got out the limo and pulled it open, we met the Nancy lady inside.

"Oh my goodness, you guys are in Queen. I didn't know it was the Roger Taylor I would be giving a tour to." She said. We chuckled a bit annoyed, but we managed to get through it.

She took us upstairs to the master bedroom. It was big and roomy and I know Maddie would love it. She took us around to the other rooms and bathrooms, it was a very nice house.

She brought us downstairs and talked about prices and monthly bill prices. I really didn't care, I was doing this all for Maddie.

"I'll buy it," I said.

She pulled out a paper and pointed to three different places, "Sign here Mr. Taylor and it'll be all yours."

It was official, I brought a house.
