Agent caught (Black impact 1)

AN: The start of the Kir arc is hereeee! This is going to be interesting. Hope you guys enjoy it!

Narrator pov. At the Kuroba house in the morning (the day after Kir is put in the hospital)~

Irene woke up to her phone ringing, and after checking the caller ID to see it was Miyuki, she answered it, knowing she hadn't gotten enough sleep because of her insomnia like usual, "Moshi Moshi??"

Miyuki's voice was excited when she replied, "Sakura-chan! Guess what?!"

Irene blinked, still lying on her bed as she answered, "What, Miyu-chan?"

Miyuki replied, "We just caught a certain NOC!"

Irene blinked and blinked, processing and thinking of who Miyuki would mean.

As she realized, she gasped, sitting up in bed as she now felt just as excited, "Really?! We caught Kir already?!"

Miyuki replied, grinning a bit in her tone, "Yeah! She's in the hospital, you already know which one. Conan-kun left already."

With newfound energy, Irene hopped out of bed while saying,  "I'll be there as fast as I can!"

She hung up before getting herself ready, writing and leaving Kuroba a note under his bedroom door telling him to tell Nakamori she might be late for breakfast, and used her spare key to leave the house and lock the door behind her.

She ran happily to the train station while thinking happily, 'She's here! Hidemi-san is actually here! How did I not notice the date?!' 

She bought the tickets to Beika like it was second nature by now, and when the train arrived, she rode it.

'Okay, so, it should be safe for the FBI to already know who Hidemi-san really is.' She thought to herself during the train ride, 'I won't tell her story for her, of course, but just her real allegiance and where it lies. Pretty sure Miyu has the same idea.' 

When the train arrived at her destination, Irene memorized the directions to Haido Central Hospital on the station's map and used her roller shoes to get there, not wanting to wait for a taxi.

When there, she was able to calm herself down so she didn't just barge in and scare patients and staff there, walking inside properly.

She looked around once she got in, spotting Miyuki waving at her from a corner so she ran to her friend, who was smiling as big as her, "Hey."

Miyuki replied, "Hi," before they both started walking with Miyuki leading the way to the room.

While walking, Irene asked, "So, you thinking what I'm thinking?"

Miyuki answered, "That we let the FBI know about the CIA's involvement before Shinichi-kun does? Yeah, I was thinking about it since before I called."

Irene nodded, "I thought so."

They arrive at the room and Miyuki lets Irene in, James, and the hospital director were there with the unconscious woman on the bed.

Seeing her in person for the first time, Irene couldn't help but stare in awe, "She's prettier than the anime makes her look..."

Miyuki replied, "Right? I thought so too."

Irene then turned to the men and bowed politely, "Hello again, James-san." She smiled up at him.

James, noticing Miyuki here as well, raised an eyebrow with a knowing smile, "So you're the one who's like Miyuki-kun that I heard about." 

Irene nodded before looking back at Hidemi on the bed. She looked so peaceful, it was hard to believe she was in a coma-like sleep.

Irene then looked back up at Miyuki as they both nodded at each other before looking at James, Miyuki asking, "Actually, we know things about Kir that we'd like to share with you, Akai-san and Jodie-san. If you all have time now..."

James, seeing the serious and pleading looks, didn't refuse the request and nodded as he said, "I'll call them to the room the director allowed us to use for meetings."

With a relieved sigh from both girls, Miyuki replied, "Arigato, James-san."

The girls looked at each other again with smiles.

That was an agent caught.

AN: Done! Hope you guys liked it!

Yeah, it's a bit of a cliffhanger, just like the episodes in the arc, but there's already a hint of what happens next, so...

Yep, Miyuki is the one who tells Irene that they caught Kir. Only after they caught her and everything else happened since Miyuki wasn't stupid enough to get Irene to come into a dangerous situation like the one that led to her being caught.

Once again, we see these two being on the same wavelength when it comes to thinking of something they can do that won't ruin the timeline.

The two of them sharing a happy moment on the phone was cute. X3
