Narrator pov. Continuing~

Mizutani asked, "O-Oniisan! What are you doing here?"

Honjo glared at him and shouted, "You have no right to address me that way, bastard!"

Mizutani was surprised at the sudden hostility before Honjo looked down at Irene, "You're a friend of the brat, aren't you? How did he know that I did it?"

Irene looked back at him with an unchanging, emotionless expression and replied, "It made no sense. If Mizutani-san had been the culprit, choosing the positions of the Big Dipper and Polaris as crime scenes wouldn't make any sense, as those are his and Nanako-san's precious stars and he's too kindhearted to defile them like that."

Honjo gritted his teeth in realization.

Irene continued, "It makes more sense if this was someone else's plan to make the star-loving Mizutani-san their scapegoat. Everything comes together then."

She kept herself alert, bracing for the arrival of the next and last person, "The culprit accurately adapted the positions of Polaris and the Big Dipper to the map and used them to crime scenes like a perfectionist. But, according to Edogawa-kun, Mizutani-san's apartment door sign was slightly tilted, and the handwriting wasn't tidy."

She glanced up at Honjo, "In contrast, the phone number on your name card was written in neat handwriting, a faint pencil line to ensure the writing was straight was even visible. Even in your organizer notebook, the names and addresses were clearly recorded. All signs of your perfectionist personality."

Honjo looked shocked, staring down at her.

She kept going, "Mizutani-san knew the whole story of Nanako-san's death from you." It was a statement rather than a question.

He still nodded and explained how he found out the truth.

Irene nodded in acknowledgement, "You passed on the information to him while sprinkling in your lies. Considering that on the first anniversary of her death, everyone who had been on that floor brought flowers, it makes more sense if it was out of gratitude rather than guilt."

She glanced at the surprised Mizutani as she clarified, "Gratitude for letting them board the elevator, that is."

Mizutani realized it and questioned Honjo, who confirmed it, then insisted, "But still! That doesn't change the fact that it was because of them boarding that elevator that she died!"

Mizutani was in disbelief before Irene spoke up again, "It's true. She died in place of all those 7. But by taking Honjo-san's place and suiciding to atone for his sins, there's a big difference there."

She stared up at Mizutani, "A difference as big as that of a star in the sky and a stone on the ground."

Mizutani looked down in realization before declaring to Honjo that he quit, going to the table to retrieve his bag, taking out the swag bag with all the victims' belongings, and giving it back to Honjo, begging him to turn himself in.

Irene bluntly said, "That's the bag with the items stolen from the victims. You handed these to him, assuring him that if he died with these, he would be blamed for your killings."

Honjo smirked before saying his next line, taking the bag back.

When he said that he did it instead because Mizutani didn't have the courage, Irene tilted her head, aware of the footsteps of someone running closer, "Courage? Or self-satisfaction?"

That was when Honjo took out his knife and shouted, "Shut up! Since Mouri-Tentei or even that brat aren't here, that means you came alone!"

Irene didn't respond, just calmly stepped back as Honjo went to swipe the knife down when a gunshot rang out, and the knife was shot out of his hand.

He dropped to his knees, holding his wrist, before a certain disguised voice spoke up, "Did I make it in time?" with footsteps now by the three.

'Matsumoto' arrived while holding up 'his' badge and introducing 'himself', Mizutani was surprised to see the police here.

After confirming Mizutani not hurt, 'Matsumoto' went to lift Honjo by the arm, but Honjo forced himself out of his grip and took out a stun gun before going to use it on him.

That was when he was knocked out by a punch to the stomach.

Irene just watched as he then knocked Mizutani out by hand-chopping his head when he wasn't looking.

She looked up at the only man conscious, her stance guarded, but her expression the same, saying only to keep her secret safe, "Guess he was right, it is you. Irish.

He looked down at her in confusion, but slowly grinned.

AN: Done! Hope you guys liked it!

Yep, he's here. And we get to see how their interaction will go in the next part. Yay! :D

This was just to show how Irene's interaction with both Mizutani and Honjo was different from Conan's in the movie.

And the way she taunts Honjo by tilting her head and asking kinda sarcastically if that's what he called courage was pretty savage. :3

So what did you guys think? Did you like it? Which part was your favorite? Hope to see your feedback soon!

That's all. See you next chapter!

Stay sweet, my fellow anime lovers!~
