Narrator pov. Continuing~

Irish had seemed to stop at some place, though Irene had a bad feeling about why, as the shrunken duo kept running.

Edogawa stopped when he saw the storage closet, and Irene held him back as she knew what he was thinking and said, "He stopped to find a flashlight. I don't think your plan would work. Let's keep running."

He nodded, trusting her judgement, and they continued running just as they saw a light being shone from somewhere behind them, proving Irene's theory right, as Irish found a flashlight and was using it to spot them in the dark.

Edogawa cursed under his breath, and they continued to run as Irish easily saw them now, thanks to having a light on him, and he started to fire his gun while following them.

They both had to jump away and duck behind walls before Irene saw the door to the stairs outside the observatory.

She gestured Edogawa to it, and he nodded before they both ran out.

They still heard the bullets being fired as Irish only had to walk, thanks to his bigger size, to follow them.

He kept firing even as he followed them out and as they ran up the first set of stairs.

Irene tripped from a bullet grazing too close, but Edogawa caught her as he pulled her with him to the corner at the top of the set of stairs.

Irish stayed at the bottom, turning the flashlight off as he said, "How about we end this game of cat and mouse? I'll let your friend go if you come with me. What do you say, Kudo Shinichi?"

He pointed his gun in front of him as he climbed up slowly.

That was his mistake as the duo stepped back out all of a sudden before they jumped and hit their feet against his chest, pushing him down and making him hit his head as he was back at the bottom.

Edogawa picked up the gun and pointed it at him, while Irene looked out to see when the helicopter was coming, and said, "Looks like the tables have turned."

Irish held his head as he sat up, and Edogawa added, "Now hand over the memory card."

Irish just grinned, and when the lights in the tower started to turn off, Irene pulled Edogawa aside and away from the helicopter lights, which still made him drop the gun closer to where Irish was.

Irish went to lunge at them after picking the gun back up, Edogawa having stood in front of Irene protectively as he saw it, but that was when his phone rang.

He stood up, right in front of the helicopter light, and answered it while facing the helicopter, an arm shielding his eyes from the light.

Irene closed her eyes and looked away when she heard the gunshot pierce through Irish's chest, and she heard Edogawa gasp.

She opened her eyes and saw Edogawa going toward the now downed and bleeding Irish, and she went to pull him back, but too late, she saw his shoe poke out from behind the generator.

She glanced towards the helicopter and slowly went down to the two males, as she heard Edogawa talk to Irish, trying to assure him that he'd be fine while trying to help him up, "It's okay! It didn't hit your vital points. Once we take care of them, we'll hurry and get you medical treatment."

She stared before Edogawa glanced at her, and she let out a breath before she continued descending, while Irish replied, "I see it now... No wonder Vermouth thought so highly of you..."

Irene started helping in moving him while keeping an eye out behind her, thankful that her colorless state was not letting her react much to that woman's name this time.

Edogawa replied, "Don't talk. After you've recovered, I'll make you reveal your boss's identity, so be prepared!"

Irene heard the engine and ducked right as the light came from behind them.

Irish pushed Edogawa's head down away from the first bullet before being hit by the second one in the heart and crying out, making Edogawa shocked, "Irish!"

Irish's last words were delivered with a forced, pained, soft grin at Edogawa, "Kudo Shinichi... Keep... Coming after us..." before he passed.

Edogawa called out, "Irish!"

Irene waited for the light to go away before moving from her position, and Edogawa did the same as he moved from under Irish's arm while cursing, and she moved to sit beside him in front of the generator to hide from the incoming bullets.

"Mizutani-san and Honjo-san are still passed out downstairs along with all the officers." She told him as the bullets stopped.

He nodded while staring at Irish before he looked at her and replied, "Right, well, we have to be smart on this, but let's move first."

She nodded back, and they started to run up the stairs after she put on the hood she had on her jacket to hide her face better.

AN: Done! Hope you guys liked it!

Yeah, Irish still died. But it was bound to happen, so.

Good thing Irene didn't react to Vermouth's name as she usually would have, because she's colorless this time, she would've had to deal with questions from Conan, since he would've definitely noticed otherwise.

And now they have to come up with a plan to take down the BO's helicopter. We'll see how that goes in the next chapter.

So what did you guys think? Did you like it? Which part was your favorite? Hope to see your feedback soon!

That's all. See you next chapter!

Stay sweet, my fellow anime lovers!~
