Narrator pov. On the mountain road to the villa~

Irene and Miyuki were walking up the path with Suzuki, Mouri, Edogawa, and Hondo.

Miyuki brought Irene in her own car after Suzuki invited them, but she let Jodie keep it safe; they don't mind walking anyway.

To give Hondo some slack, Miyuki carried both hers and Irene's things, which wasn't much since they knew they weren't staying, despite Suzuki's insistence that everyone should have their stuff carried by one person.

The girls felt bad for Hondo, and so they walked behind him, Miyuki lifting the backpack up on his back so the weight was less on his shoulders.

He seemed to appreciate it as he was able to walk better, as he said, "Arigato..."

Miyuki smiled at him.

Flashback time~

Miyuki and Irene arrived at the meeting spot and waved at the others, eyes landing on Hondo, who was staring back at them.

Mouri was the one to do the introductions, "Eisuke-kun, those two are friends of ours. Midorikawa Irene-chan, Conan-kun's classmate and friend." Irene smiled slightly and waved, "And Michiyuki Miyuki-san, Irene-chan's old babysitter back when she was born in America." 

Miyuki nodded and smiled at the introduction before Mouri, then gestured to him, "Miyuki-san, Irene-chan, this is Hondo Eisuke-kun, he's a new classmate of ours."

Hondo gave a smile, but the girls could tell he had suspicions about them. That was fine, though; it was expected, as he said, "Hajimemashite."

Irene then said, "Your eyes are pretty, Eisuke-niisan." with a smile.

Hondo seemed caught off guard with that, while Miyuki and Suzuki both snorted. He blushed and replied, "Ah, thank you..." rubbing the back of his head awkwardly.

Miyuki could tell that she did that on purpose to get him to lower his guard around her. She then added, "She isn't wrong. You have unique eyes, Eisuke-kun. It's not every day a boy has eyes similar to girls and looks good with them. You look adorable."

He seemed embarrassed, "A-Ah th-thank you..."

Both girls just smiled before Suzuki said, "Alright, introductions over, let's get going!"

Flashback end~

Anyway, they stopped so the four who came together could decide who was carrying the stuff the rest of the way by playing rock-paper-scissors.
