Narrator pov. Continuing~

Irene arrived at the office, but she knew better than going inside for long, only going in to board the windows and shut the shutters down to hopefully prevent those bikers from going in when the boys get here.

She left right after, making sure not to leave that many suspicious trails that Hattori would think something was off, and had texted Edogawa the final piece of evidence he would've gotten later from Eri contacting Kogoro.

She decided to sneak back to the hotel through the alleys, but that's when she heard the sound of a car behind her.

She looked only to recognize it briefly, 'She's targeting me! Must've noticed what I was doing, unlike Itou-san... Better run!' she turned on her roller shoes and started to outpace the car, turning on boost mode.

It was working, and she heard the car stop, making her think the woman was giving up, so she was about to slow down, but then she heard the car door open and the cocking of a gun.

Before she could speed back up, a bullet grazed in front of her, making her jump to the side.

"So you're the real reason the detectives Itou-kun hired are making such fast progress, huh, Ojousan?" the familiar feminine voice of Reiko said from behind her.

Irene started to duck into alleys away from the bullets, not happy to notice Reiko had at least one rifle that she was now firing, probably from her car.

"Gomen ne, but your little guiding game is over; I can't afford you getting me arrested now when my plan is working so perfectly."

Irene ignored her, knowing that responding would give away her hiding place; she wished she hadn't run so far away from the building.

"And about your little detective ducks, Oneesan's friends will take care of them when they get in there, so you get to meet them in heaven."

Irene wanted to turn her roller shoes back on, but Reiko was moving while talking and was always close to any alley she stopped to hide in, so she couldn't bend without risk of getting shot.

More bullets were coming, and Irene realized a bit too late that Reiko led her to a wall, a dead end.

She had her back to it as Reiko appeared, though Irene knew from how many shots she heard that the rifle must be out.

Of course, she didn't forget that Reiko had her close-range gun on her, which she took out with a smirk down at Irene, keeping a bit of distance to avoid the blood that would splatter.

Irene couldn't help but see Vermouth in her place, which made her even more scared as she backed up against the wall.

"Looks like the leader has been led to her end." She announced, pointing her Walther PPK down at Irene while smirking, "Bye bye, Ojousan..."

Irene looked at the barrel as the woman started to pull the trigger, eyes widening.

But then, Reiko was suddenly knocked down, and she collapsed, dropping the gun.

Irene noticed a soccer ball rolling over before it deflated.

She looked up to see Edogawa approaching while holding his skateboard and his shoe showing sparks of electricity, looking serious and concerned. "Are you okay?"

She nodded, giving a smile, "Arigato, Kudo-kun."

AN: Done! Hope you guys liked it!

Yep, Irene knew better than to actually go in the building for long, but she made sure to help the boys a bit.

Bet you guys didn't expect Reiko to end up attacking this way, huh? Well, alleys are shady places, so she knew as long as she didn't have any blood on her, she could get away with it; gunshot residue is washable.

Yyyyep, here comes the Vermouth paranoia again. Poor Irene.

Once again, Conan got to save the day! Yay!

I honestly am happy with the twist I gave this version of the movie, shorter, but different in that there was one danger moment, which was resolved fast enough.

So what did you guys think? Did you like it? Which part is your favorite? Hope to see your feedback soon!

That's all. See you next chapter!

Stay sweet, my fellow anime lovers!~
