Narrator pov. Night of the first heist in the intersection of Ginza~

Irene was in the crowd, though she made sure to be away from Edogawa's view, with an earpiece attached, since she was to spot the easiest route for Kid to run through in the crowd.

She had to make sure Ginzo didn't see her either as she stayed in the back of a good route.

She pressed the earpiece a minute before the timed arrival, and whispered, "There's a good one right here," in her usual tone.

She got two taps to signal an "ok" and let her hands drop.

Once the dummy was sent to distract the crowd, Irene stepped aside to let Kuroba, wearing a black hood all over his suit and body, run through the route as the dummy exploded in smoke.

When the cheers were heard, Irene took that as her cue to go to the building before the giant net opened.

She had to run and sneak around as Kid talked to the news crew.

She saw Edogawa, who turned around in time to see her.

She only gave him a nod, not acknowledging his surprised expression as hers stayed the same, and then disappeared again in the crowd without giving him time to say anything.

She crossed over right before the net sprang up and hid between the legs of the crowd inside the net, right outside the building.

When Kid assured the selfless crowd that there was no need to offer themselves as a disguise because he saw this coming and explained that he was going home by teleporting, Irene looked up at the building to lock eyes with Jii on the roof.

When the smoke bomb was thrown and Kid 'disappeared', Irene watched as he ran over while wearing the black hood again.

She helped him remove the GPS tracker from the fake shoe and then let him attach himself to the pulley.

She gave Jii the signal through the earpiece before Kuroba was pulled up quickly, throwing his first card in the air.

When Kid appeared on the roof in a puff of smoke, Irene walked over to Jii under the banner, and after helping him with his weights, they got rid of the pulley in his coat and stayed by each other until the net was down to leave.

She found the broken monocle Edogawa kicked off Kuroba's face and picked it up before getting in the car with Jii and going home.

The next afternoon, Irene and Kuroba arrived and mingled in the crowd that was blocked away from the display case by the giant net this time.

She thought about the looks Edogawa was giving her throughout school today, when he thought she wouldn't notice, which she wouldn't have since they didn't last long, but she still felt them.

So he at least suspected her connection to Kid, which was fine; he didn't have much proof yet.

She was snapped out of her thoughts at hearing Kuroba take out his cardgun, which made her look up at him as he aimed it over the net and fired.

As the recorded message started playing on the card, Irene stayed close to Kuroba as the crowd got agitated.

When Kuroba then encouraged the crowd to "give Kid an audience and break inside" while pretending to be one of the fans, Irene had to hold on to his leg as the crowd stormed over to the net and started forcefully pushing against it to tear it open.

She felt him place a hand on the back of her shirt to hold her in place, but didn't say anything.

When the stampede stopped, both 'cousins' stepped away from each other as Irene went to wait by another spot while Kuroba went to talk to Edogawa.

When Kuroba came back and found her, she saw him put on an earpiece, giving her one which she put on herself.

When Edogawa's voice was heard explaining his 'deduction', Irene said bluntly, "It's a trap. He does know. He wants to catch you off guard when you get to the top later."

Kuroba blinked, "That little cheater..." he was grinning anyway, "Fine, he wants surprises? I'll give him one."

He stood up, "Warii, but could you get the bug back? I have to get ready."

She nodded, "Sure."

Later that night, when Kid arrived, Irene waited before mingling in the crowd and swiftly taking the device off the back of Edogawa's collar while he was going to the building.

The detective felt it and turned around, but she had hidden behind the crowd's legs in time.

She pocketed the device and went to wait.

She had kept her eyes on the building, using the binoculars Jii gave her, and saw that Kuroba's 'surprise' was to fire a card at a hidden popper by Edogawa's legs the moment he revealed himself, but Kid still ended up being revealed standing sideways on the building wall.

When both Kid and Jii were flying out, she went through the hole in the net to follow them as they regrouped, then went home.

AN: Done! I hope you guys liked it!

Yeah, Irene helped a bit in the heist.

What, you expected some huge help? The heist was already perfect enough in canon, and I ain't making her take over or change too much there.

And yeah, Conan is a bit suspicious, but doesn't have proof, so he won't do anything yet.

So what did you guys think? Did you like it? Which part was your favorite? Hope to see your feedback soon!

That's all. See you next chapter!

Stay sweet, my fellow anime lovers!~
