True Happiness (rewrite version)

Aboard the St. Aphrodite {1}

AN: Movie 9 or Strategy Above the Depths. And if that's not enough to remind you what movie it is, it's the one where Kogoro gets a cool moment and actually gets a deduction right before Conan does. This will probably be split into parts, and there's a special guest with Irene in this. Hope you enjoy it!

Narrator pov. On St. Aphrodite's bow at Sunset~

Irene was watching the sunset at a spot near but also far enough from Mouri and Edogawa, though she had her palms on the handrail as she placed her feet on the bars in between the top and the floor, so she had already lifted herself up enough to look.

(I explain it in the original too, but it's like when you stand on the bars of the rail on the stairs while placing your hands on the top bar as a kid. I'm pretty sure everyone did that at least once, so I hope it's clearer now.)

Standing behind her and also looking at the sunset with her was Miyuki. 

Irene had gotten Suzuki to agree to let her bring a guardian with her, and Miyuki immediately agreed the moment she knew, saying she was off from FBI work for these days.

The girls smiled as they looked at the view, recalling how Miyuki's first meeting with the Mouri father and daughter, along with Suzuki, went.

Flashback time~

Irene had arrived at the meeting spot by the cruise in Miyuki's car and got out first, approaching everyone else who had already arrived as she waved and smiled, "Minna!"

They all turned, and the real kids happily cheered and called out, "Irene-chan!" Ayumi ran over, and the two girls hugged.

The rest were also smiling, except Haibara, and Suzuki asked, "So who's this guardian you wanted to come along?"

Irene smiled happily and only hinted with, "It's someone the detective boys and Hakase met recently."

The real kids blinked in confusion, but Edogawa got it as he asked, "You got her to come?"

Irene nodded, "Un! She's off for a few days, so she agreed to come. She's even the one who drove us here."

That was the moment footsteps approached them, and they all looked over to see the newcomer.

That was when the real kids and Agasa realized who she was talking about, as the former all smiled and greeted, "Ah, Miyuki-oneesan/-san/-neechan!"

Miyuki smiled at the kids and Agasa and gave a wave, "Hey guys! Long time no see!"

Mouri curiously looked down at Irene, Suzuki doing the same, and asked quietly, "Irene-chan, who's this?"
