AN: Skipping all the police conferences and Conan's talk with Heiji. So this next part is at the night of the next day. Hope you enjoy it!

Narrator pov. At the train station~

Irene had already told Kuroba that she still planned to help somehow.

She assured him that she wouldn't get involved with Vermouth, but that she'd need to stay longer in Beika to think of what to do to help without drawing the woman's attention.

Once again, she didn't like the idea of Edogawa getting himself hurt; for some reason, it felt off.

She had been thinking about it when her phone rang; she took it out to see it was Edogawa calling.

She answered, "Moshi Moshi?"

His next words helped her come up with an idea on how to help, "Hey, I just wanted to make sure if I got everything right. Especially about who Irish's disguised as."

Irene paused in thought, before she replied, "Let's talk about that in person. I'm still in Beika."

Edogawa went silent for a second to process before he said, "I don't have that much time-"

"Let's meet at the building close to Toto Tower," she responded, cutting him off with her usual tone as she turned on her roller shoes and went to the mentioned building after memorizing the way through the map. "That way it won't take long. I promise. I want to help while I'm here. And it'll be safe."

He seemed to consider it before sighing, "Fine. Meet you there. Ja."

The call ended, and she closed her phone and tucked it in her pocket, now focusing on getting to her destination.

Once there, she met up with Edogawa at a spot where no one would see them.

After exchanging short greetings, Edogawa got to the point, "So, am I right about who the culprit and Irish are?"

Irene looked around before responding, "Yeah, the culprit isn't Mizutani-san. And Irish is the biggest man in the police force, who'd all get there on their own soon."

Edogawa looked relieved at the confirmation, but then turned cautious as he looked up at the tower in thought.

He didn't hear the quiet sound of Irene turning on her watch.

He replied, "Thanks. You should go meet up with Haibara and Hakase now if you still want to help."

He turned his head and went to move, but then froze with a gasp as he felt a certain needle pricking his neck.

Before he could look over, his eyes rolled back and closed, and he started to fall when he was caught in Irene's arms as he fell asleep.

She looked at him emotionlessly before moving him to be comfortable, then stepping back while closing the watch lid, thinking, 'Gomen. But I don't want you to get hurt.'

After making sure he won't be seen and woken up too soon, and knowing he won't get a cold since they were inside a building, she ran out and headed to the tower.

Yeahhhh, Conan finally actually got tranquilized instead of that bs from the Vermouth confrontation when he didn't sleep long! :D

It's even better cause it's Irene who did it, the least expected person that he won't plan a way to wake up from "just in case" (because I bet that's how he did it in the Vermouth thing)

And now she's going to the tower instead of him. We'll see how that goes.
