Narrator pov. Continuing~

The duo continued running while the bullets were fired from the helicopter's machine guns at them, while following them up the stairs.

They barged into the highest viewing platform in the tower and took cover behind a metal generator just before the helicopter's bullets shattered the glass windows and were at everything.

Irene and Edogawa both got grazed with a glass shard, but took only one look at each other before focusing on the situation.

Irene stated, "They'll throw a tear gas bomb in here to force us out," covering her mouth after saying that to brace herself.

Edogawa narrowed his eyes before he stood up and turned on his shoes while activating his glasses. Irene looked up at him in a bit of confusion before she saw his hands going to his ball belt.

'Is he going to try and kick the smoke bomb away?' she wondered.

Turned out the answer was yes as Edogawa suddenly dispensed a ball from his belt before seeming to focus his gaze somewhere and kicking the ball out the window after seeming to wait for the perfect timing.

Irene watched him before he seemed to relax, only slightly, and turn to her, "I kicked the gas bomb away and made sure they didn't see what made it explode early with the timing, so that should give us more time to think of a plan."

She blinked once in surprise before nodding, "Right."

They thought about their options while taking advantage of the time, as they weren't sure if the Organization had another smoke bomb on them or not, before Irene looked at her gloves, then noticed a tower viewer broken off and on the floor nearby.

The idea was risky but...

"We have to take out their engine." She stated, which Edogawa agreed with as he looked at her and noticed her gaze, which made him ask, "What's your plan?"

"When they prepare to throw another smoke bomb, I can use my gloves to aim for their engine if you tell me where, using your glasses."

He seemed to ponder it, "It could work, but why don't I do it?"

Irene responded, "Kicking might get you off balance, and they might shoot again while you're trying."

He appeared to have accepted that answer, "Right. Okay, let's do your plan."

Nodding back in appreciation of his trust, Irene crawled over until she got the tower viewer and they both climbed up on the metal generator they were hiding behind.

Edogawa turned his glasses on again as Irene turned her power gloves on, holding the tower viewer close as she prepared to jump to give her more power in the throw.

She kept her gaze out the window until Edogawa directed her to where the helicopter was flying close to the room.

She turned to that direction and he said, "Aim lower... lower... Then go to your right... That should do it!"

Immediately, she narrowed her eyes and threw the object with all her might while jumping.

She landed on the floor and saw the tower viewer fly out.

There was a bit of silence as she looked to Edogawa, still behind her, not saying anything, as she could tell he was watching to see if it worked.

He got off and went to the shattered window, which she followed, and that was when she saw it; The helicopter with smoke coming out of it, starting to retreat.

She watched as it still fell somewhere away from view by the sea, and relaxed as she turned her gloves off before holding her scratched arm.

They did it.

After that, Sato and Takagi came, Megure coming with some other officers who stayed in HQ until now.

All the passed-out officers were fine, and so were Mizutani and Honjo, who both admitted their part in this case.

After the shrunken duo also got treated and interviewed about what they knew happened, while hiding about the Organization's involvement, Irene asked Sato for a ride to the station.

She and Edogawa waved at each other, her expression as emotionless as usual, as they wished each other goodnight and separated.

Irene thanked Sato once she dropped her off at the station before riding the train and getting home, where she told Kuroba a short version of what happened before they both went to bed, with Irene not able to sleep immediately.

Her insomnia didn't let her sleep, but at least this case was over.

AN: Done! Hope you guys liked it!

Yep, Conan and Irene worked together to take the helicopter down. >w>

I honestly am happy with the changes to this movie, especially the Irene knocking Conan out with the dart watch part.

I thought it was BS how Conan woke up almost immediately in the Vermouth arc, despite knowing how that watch kept Kogoro asleep for hours, and that's an adult. There's no way it won't be stronger on a child's body.

So yeah, loved that part. And I'm happy with how everything turned out.

And now this movie is over. Yay!

So what did you guys think? Did you like it? Which part was your favorite? Hope to see your feedback soon!

That's all. See you next chapter!

Stay sweet, my fellow anime lovers!~
