Narrator pov. At School during Friday cleaning~
Class 1-b was now doing the weekly Friday cleaning, now that school time was ending. Irene was also helping move the tables with the others.
Genta and some boys were goofing off, and Irene sweatdropped as Ayumi scolded him.
Then Mitsuhiko barged in, exclaiming, "Bad news!" But ended up slipping on some water, which caused the bucket to be knocked away, with the cloth falling on his face as he hit his head on the floor.
The others gathered around the tall boy as Ayumi asked him what he was in such a rush for. Irene picked up the bucket as Mitsuhiko answered as expected.
As he explained about the girl who disappeared, Irene continued to clean, filling the bucket back up before she started to wipe the window.
And then Ayumi asked the girl's name and her appearance, which Mitsuhiko answered.
Irene expected Edogawa and Haibara's reactions rather than just hearing them.
Kobayashi then walked in and asked, "Hai! Did you finish cleaning up?" which made every other classmate, including the rest of the Detective Boys, go back to cleaning like they were supposed to.
As they all, including Irene, started putting the seats back in their places, Kobayashi ended up joining the conversation, then she mentioned Hirayama, who was the new substitute teacher, which got Edogawa and Haibara's attention.
As the class was clean and organized now, Kobayashi told everyone, "Okay, all that's left is for Sensei to lock up, so you children go home."
Irene replied with everyone else, "Hai!!" Then they left for the missing girl's class.
Edogawa ended up lending Haibara his cap, and although she said, "Even a dorky cap like this can look nice when a really cute girl wears it," she still put it on.
Irene giggled when Edogawa immediately responded by asking for it back.
Now they were walking to Amemiya Shoko's house while Edogawa reviewed the notes they got about her personality and popularity, Ayumi comparing her to Haibara.
Irene smiled when Mitsuhiko blushed and defended by saying that Haibara was also popular among boys, 'Awww, he's so adorable.'
Then Genta asked why Haibara was wearing Edogawa's cap, Irene gave him a deadpan look, "Baka, what if people who know Amemiya-san mistook Haibara-san for her?"
