Supposed movie night

AN: The movie case with Yukiko when the DB meet her for the first time. Hope you enjoy it!

Narrator pov. In Yukiko's car~

Yukiko came back to Japan a while ago and was now driving the detective boys in her rental car, Edogawa was in the passenger seat, obviously, while the rest of them were in the back.

With some weird luck, Irene was sitting between Haibara and Ayumi.

The real kids tried to get Yukiko to tell them where they were going, but she didn't give a straight answer, just that it was somewhere where they would all be happy. Irene of course already knew so she didn't bother.

When Ayumi called Yukiko Edogawa's mom, Irene smiled a bit, it was funny how even Ayumi could tell they were related.

Of course, Edogawa denied it since 'his' mother is supposed to be Fumiyo and it would be bad if the kids told Mouri with Yukiko being the mother as their mindset.

Irene sweatdropped when Yukiko glared at Edogawa when he called her old, she really didn't like to admit she was aging...

After Edogawa figured out where they were going thanks to Yukiko's phone call conversation and telling the rest, Irene smiled when Ayumi pointed out that the light turned green already as she leaned back in her seat.

Haibara noticed and raised an eyebrow before Yukiko sped up, which surprised everyone else, and Irene started laughing.

She inherited her father's love for speedy rides, which was the same reason she wanted the Jaguar car Miyuki got.

She didn't notice both Yukiko and Edogawa looking at her in surprise through the rearview mirror, nor when Haibara was looking at her with the same look while the kids were too busy screaming to notice when Yukiko swerved hard.

Yukiko started to smile at seeing her reaction while Edogawa blushed and blinked in confusion, Haibara just seemed surprised and confused.

Everyone calmed down for the rest of the ride until they reached Toto Film Development Studio and got out of the car.

They were introduced to Karata, and the kids were surprised to find out Yukiko was an actress.

After being introduced to more staff, they were taken on a studio tour.

After finding out that the preview would take longer than Yukiko could stay since she would have to get to the airport to return to America, Hojima offered that the kids stay at his place while she went on her flight since his place was pretty close.

When Hojima asked if the kids were alright with it, most of them looked at Edogawa to ask him to let them stay, something that made Irene giggle a bit, and he agreed as long as they called their homes to tell them they'd be late.

Irene had already told Kuroba how late they'd be so that was taken care of.

Irene blinked as she realized why Genta thought "Tetsuman" was another staff member, tetsu could also mean iron as well as all night...

'So Japan's own version of Ironman.' she didn't really know what to think of that.

Yukiko meanwhile whispered to Edogawa, telling him how he was popular with most girls, Ayumi didn't stare once. Haibara did glance at him thrice but it was more in reaction to Irene staring, which was 12 times, though Yukiko didn't know that and explained the reasons girls would stare.

Edogawa blushed, without knowing why, but just denied it before changing the subject to the car that was following them.

It was then time for Yukiko to leave with the rental car and after whispering with Edogawa some more, she drove off.

On the way to Hojima's apartment, Irene assured Edogawa that the people following them were allies, when he asked what she meant, she just said, "They're like Miyuki." which made him pout since she knew he didn't know what that meant but he believed her anyway.

After arriving and seeing the bed, Irene took the pillow off so there was space for her and placed it on the floor, before taking off her jacket then climbing up onto the bed after they all put the blanket on sideways, she ended up on the other side next to Haibara.

Unlike Edogawa and Haibara who couldn't sleep because of the real kids still talking, Irene who was used to it from all the nights in the orphanage fell asleep immediately, smiling since the sound of them talking made her feel nostalgic about those times when the orphanage was still around.

They were later awakened by Furumura's scream and Edogawa turned on the desk lamp before opening the door to Hojima's voice calling out for Furumura, it was clear once Edogawa found the light switch that Furumura was dead.

Megure and the police were called a moment later and the investigation began as the kids put back their full clothes.

After Karata and Negami were revealed to have spare keys, they were called over and revealed to not have alibis.

After more suspicion fell on Hojima, they found the camera on the floor and decided to check it only to get sounds without any visuals in the video.

When Haibara noticed the people watching outside the window, Irene approached her and whispered, "It's okay, they're not a danger to us." with a reassuring smile which let Haibara believe her.

Later, Agasa arrived, which meant it was time to leave in his car, Irene slept with the kids in the back since her insomnia still stopped her from getting good sleep without Edogawa around.

Thanks to her assurance though, Haibara and Edogawa didn't react much to the lit cigarette from the car passing by and just waited for Agasa before they drove off.

And that was how the supposed movie night went.

AN: Done! Hope you guys liked it!

Irene assures Conan and Ai about the people following them (who were the FBI for anyone who forgot) being allies and gets the sleep she keeps missing because of her insomnia.

And look at that, Yukiko is starting to like her more. Could she like her enough to want her as a daughter-in-law? We'll see. :3
