Party Detective Deduction Show {7}

AN: The next part, and it looks like we're close to the end. Hope you enjoy it!

Narrator pov. At the party~

Irene and Miyuki, fully dressed for the occasion, walked over to their group of friends. Ayumi was the first to see them, and she smiled, "Irene-chan!"

The rest of the group looked up at her sudden call, only to see Ayumi rushing to hug the now fully recovered Irene, who smiled and held her arms open for the hug as Ayumi almost tackled her from the excitement.

She hugged back and replied, "Hey, Ayumi-chan. Sorry for worrying you all."

Miyuki approached the teenage girls with a smile as Mouri asked, "Does that mean she's completely recovered, or is it just for her to be at the party?"

Miyuki smiled and answered, "She's fully recovered. Sensei said she'll be fine now as long as she doesn't get left somewhere else cold so soon."

The two girls nodded in understanding and relief at that, Mouri saying, "Yokatta... (Thank god)"

Miyuki smiled as the real kids and Haibara gathered around Irene to congratulate her on being better, which she thanked them for.

Irene then asked Ayumi, "Did Ran-neechan see it yet?"

She shrugged, shaking her head as she wasn't sure.

She turned to Mitsuhiko and asked, "Ne, why don't you ask her?"

Genta nodded and added, "Yeah, about the you-know-what."

Mitsuhiko agreed and told Mouri, as expected, she didn't know about the gold seashell medal, though she thanked them all, even Irene, saying she appreciated their thoughtfulness, which made them smile.

After that, the room dims down as the stage lights turn on to show Natsuho on the podium as the host of the special event on stage, starting to call the staff up to the stage while introducing them.

When the captain walked up, Irene and Miyuki looked at each other in disgust as he started his speech.

Thankfully, the rest of his speech is ruined by the crowd asking about the murders that happened on the ship, even going to Megure and his police force to ask if they were safe.

And then Kogoro took the microphone as he got to the stage during the commotion, asking everyone to calm down as he started his deduction show.

Miyuki and Irene smiled as he pointed out the right culprit, but got the motive wrong, and had no conclusive evidence yet.

Irene and Miyuki had deadpan looks at hearing Mouri accuse Kogoro of suspecting Minako just because she looks like Eri.

Irene had to think, 'Is she serious? He doesn't hate Eri-san and she knows it.'

Miyuki added, 'If anything, the fact that he does suspect her instead of defending her should make you think the opposite, girl...'

As Kogoro announced a bathroom break and left, everyone started laughing. However, the girls didn't laugh; instead, they smiled, knowing his moment to redeem himself would come soon.

And then Edogawa used Agasa to start his deduction show.

Miyuki got Irene a plate of strawberry shortcake while she got herself some juice. Irene happily ate the cake while the show was happening.

They weren't completely ignoring the deduction, though, as they knew Edogawa at least got Irene's attacker right.

As Kusaka's scarf was taken off by Takagi and the hand marks on his neck were revealed, the girls braced themselves.

Kusaka backed up from the police before taking out his detonator remote and announced, "Don't move! If you do, I'll detonate the bombs!"

Irene looked up at Miyuki, who nodded before announcing, "I think he's the one who attacked me!" loud enough for the police and her group to hear her, as she wasn't going to start shouting.

Kusaka smirked, "You finally remembered, huh, brat?"

Miyuki narrowed her eyes on him at that.

And then, after Megure asked, Kusaka revealed his motive before someone from the crowd tried to take the detonator from him, which resulted in Kusaka activating the bombs he planted.

And this was how the Party Detective Deduction Show happened.

AN: Done! Hope you guys enjoy it!

Yeah, it's kind of a cliffhanger, but we all know what the next part will be. Hopefully, it's the last.

Yep, Irene recovered in time to go join the party with Miyuki.

Ayumi's hug was so sweet. >w<

It proves how much they all care about her.

And yep, Kusaka called Irene a brat, pretty sure Miyuki isn't the only one mad at him for that. 

And now the bombs are exploding, so we'll see what happens.
