Narrator pov. Continuing~

When almost by the gate, Irene went to enact her plan, but what happened next made it more believable as Ayumi noticed and asked, "Eh? Irene-chan, where's your bag?"

Irene blinked, "Eh?" then looked to notice that she didn't have it, so she pretended to be surprised convincingly, "Uso, I was sure I had it when we left the hotel!"

Mouri said, "Ah, maybe you dropped it on the way here and didn't notice."

Irene nodded slowly, "Probably..." she turned back, "Ja, I'll go get it, you guys go ahead! Like Mitsuhiko-kun said, the line for Super Snake is long, so I'll go and get it, then catch up."

Mouri went to protest, but the real kids replied, "Okay!" which made Mouri sigh, "Fine... But be careful, okay? And don't get in the way of the investigation!"

Irene ran off while replying, "Hai!!"

'Thank you for the acting classes, Kuroba-kun...' she thought to herself, running off as she watched the others go to the gate.

She wasn't going to get in the way of the investigation, but she'd instead join it and help it end faster with no danger.

She found her bag where she had left it and picked it up just when her badge beeped, indicating that Edogawa was now trying to stop the others from going inside the amusement park.

She waited until the beeping stopped before looking up at the hotel, then turned on her roller shoes before leaving to go further off the road, where she knew the car would go once they were done here.

A while later, at the second badge call, Irene turned it on if only to listen, and she smiled as Haibara added, "Guess that explains the real reason why Midorikawa-san left early instead of going in with us."

She saw the car they came here in, then, stuck in traffic, and heard Edogawa say, "Eh?" he then lowered his voice, although Kogoro could still be heard yelling at traffic, and asked, "Karashima isn't with you?"

"No, I believe she's closer to you. Ne?" Haibara asked knowingly.

Irene then decided to reveal her being part of the call, "Un, I'm here."

"Eh?" She heard Edogawa look around before they made eye contact as she was in an alleyway by the sidewalk near their spot in traffic.

She gave a wave as he gaped, and Haibara then decided to end the call as the kids could be heard calling for her, "Well, I'll put our lives in both of your hands, Meitantei-sans." Then she hung up.

Irene's eyebrow twitched as she mumbled, "Not a detective, Haibara-san..." in annoyance, but shook her head with a sigh.

She looked back at Edogawa, who already looked against this, and she mouthed "Talk later," then turned on her shoes again to follow the car once they were out of traffic.

Once they found the first place with clues, Edogawa followed Irene once she sneaked in before they parked the car and found a spot to talk away from Kogoro.

"Oi, what are you doing here?" was what he asked the moment Irene signalled that they were clear.

Irene replied, "Kudo-kun, you know I can help. It'll solve the case faster and keep everyone safe if I lead the case."

Edogawa didn't look like he liked it, "But... Your ID-"

"Won't explode because he's not expecting me to be anything much, and he's blind," she cut off, making him blink in surprise.

"He's what?" he asked.

She shook her head, "You'll get that later. Just let me help. I know it'll be stressful, and like I said, he won't expect me to be that much help even if he notices me not in the danger zone. And he still has more than enough hostages inside, including Mouri-san, who might be the most important hostage to him."

She gave him a pleading look, "Please, Kudo-kun. I know you don't want me in danger, but I don't want you in danger either, and I'm the one who has the advantage of knowing what dangers are in this."

He looked at her for a moment before looking away and sighing, a slight blush on his face that wasn't seen in the dark, "Fine. So what are the clues in this building?"

She smiled, "Follow me."

She then led him to the machinery room while explaining the clues the homeless man living here would've given, being direct about Kid's involvement.

And that was how she joined the investigation.

AN: Done! Hope you guys liked it!

Sorry for no updates on Sunday, guys, I got sick.

I still have a bit of a cold, but I'm now good enough to write, so yeah.

Anyway, back to the ending of the chapter.

Yep, Irene had a talk with Conan about letting her lead the case.

Did anyone else notice the way he was worried about her? >w>

She even had to plead, and we saw him blush! So cute.

And now she's going to make sure they waste less time investigating! Yay!

That gives me more reasons to shorten the movie. :D

So what did you guys think? Did you like it? Which part was your favorite? Hope to see your feedback soon!

That's all. See you next chapter!

Stay sweet, my fellow anime lovers!~
