Narrator pov. Doumoto Hall~

Irene was invited along with the Detective Boys and Agasa to watch the rehearsal with the Mouri Household and Suzuki, which they were now watching as Doumoto Kazuki played the pipe organ.

Once he finished, they all clapped before his son and the German Pipe Organ Tuner approached him, along with the hall director, Fuwa.

Kogoro complimented the playing before Mouri noted how she saw Fuwa before on TV, which Suzuki revealed his name and past with Kazuki, Edogawa recognized him from somewhere else.

Suzuki then introduced everyone else on stage, which started a conversation about the substitute violinist and the Stradivarius.

She then went to introduce Reiko, who was sitting at the very front of the audience seats, but Mouri recognized her, which didn't surprise Suzuki, as Reiko was a famous singer.

Irene smiled slightly, 'I honestly like how she's so selfless, she's willing to make people think she's mean just to keep them away and protect them. Reminds me a bit of Haibara-san.'

Kazuki then got the attention back on the stage as he told the violinist, Shion, to get ready to join in for her part, the said shy woman replying in acknowledgement and going to stand at her spot.

Reiko did wonder if there'd even be time to practice with her as she was in the performance, but Kazuki told her to wait while apologizing, so she sat back down.

Irene sweatdropped as she could hear Takagi and Shiratori trying to flirt with Sato, Sato shushing them both, 'Not the time, officers... You're at work...'

As the song Ave Maria played, Irene felt bad for Shion when she got yelled at because the Stradivarius violin didn't sound right.

While Mouri and Suzuki didn't see what was wrong, Irene quietly said, "It's a Stradivarius, but it doesn't sound as amazing as it's supposed to be; that's the problem."

Mouri and Suzuki replied, "He~eh?" Mouri replied, "But how do you know that, Irene-chan?"

Irene smiled, "I play some instruments, and Holmes plays the violin a lot, so I got interested in researching it."

Kazuki then said to start from the top, which got the attention back on the stage as the song started again.

This time, the violin string snapped.
