Narrator pov. At the Kuroba house~

It was Friday night when Kuroba knocked on Irene's room door.

She wasn't doing anything much, just holding the flute Miyuki gave her.

She looked up and called, "Come in." in her usual tone.

Kuroba poked his head in and said, "I'm going to Blue Parrot to plan a heist with Jii-chan. Want to help for once?"

She thought about it.

Well, she didn't have anything better to do, as Nakamori was spending time with her father right now. And she could use the distraction.

She nodded, "Sure," then placed the flute back in its container before she got off her bed and followed him outside the house.

Kuroba locked the door behind him before they both went ahead to the bar where Jii worked.

When arriving inside, Jii greeted them both, "Ah, Botchama and Sakura-sama. Welcome."

Irene had given up on getting him to stop calling her "sama" by now.

So she instead nodded and replied, "Konbanwa, Jii-san."

Kuroba gave a smile, "Hey, Jii-san. Is everything ready?"

Jii nodded and gestured to follow him, "Hai, please follow me."

He went around the bar and descended the stairs with Irene and Kuroba following him.

Once he turned on the secret planning table and took out his tablet, Irene looked at the date and the target jewel.

Then she realized, "It's that challenge by Jirokichi-san."

Kuroba smirked, "Yep. Old man thinks there's no way to steal these this time, but I already went earlier with Aoko and discovered the trap he set up."

She hummed, "So why am I here?"

Kuroba said, "Well, you're the one who knows how the heists will go. Maybe you can help make them easier."

Irene stared at him, "Kudo-kun is gonna be there. And you like the challenge."

He smirked, "Well, yeah. But you can still help."

She looked back at all the blueprints.

"Alright... I'll see what I can do to make it better but still fair."

He grinned, "Thanks, Thorny."

She just nodded before stepping closer and getting a look at all the plans.

Watching it happen through a screen was different than being there to see it in person; more details that she noticed can be changed to be better.

She started to take it all in, asked Jii for more clarification on some things, and gave suggestions on how the trick she knew would be used could go better.

 It didn't change her colorless state.

But the distraction was welcome.

Yep, Kaito invited Irene to plan a canon heist together.

We'll see what she changes when the heist happens.

The fact that there aren't many hints as to which heist it is, except that it's one of those Jirokichi challenges, is on purpose. We'll see if any can guess.
