Narrator pov. Continuing~
Irene kept calling Miyuki's number anxiously while roller-skating to the apartment complex, "Come on... Come on... Please...!"
Finally, it was picked up one time, which made Irene skid to a stop as she held the phone tightly, "Moshi Moshi, Miyuki? What's going on? Why didn't you answer earlier? I got worried about you-"
She was cut off at the sound of coughing and really hard, hoarse breathing.
Irene shivered, not liking the sound of that, "Miyuki...?"
Miyuki's voice finally replied, though really slowly, with a slight smile to the voice, "Arigato, Tenshi-chan... For everything..."
Irene's breath hitched, "M-Miyu-chan?" She didn't like how that sounded like a goodbye, "What do you mean? Miyu-chan?!"
All she got in reply was a beep as the call ended.
She lowered the phone slowly before harshly pocketing it back up, turning on the boost mode, and rushing the rest of the way to the apartment, now in more haste to actually get there.
Once there, she turned off the rollerskates and ran up the stairs, loathing the lack of an elevator in this building at this moment.
She didn't like how her heart sank ever since she heard Miyuki's earlier words, nor the way they sounded, "Arigatou, Tenshi-chan..."
'What did you mean?!' She was so focused on checking on Miyuki that she didn't register that another car was already driving away before the driver could see her.
She rushed up, not letting the limited stamina of her current body stop her, until she arrived at the floor where Miyuki lived.
Her breath hitched as she saw the slightly ajar door, knowing from memory whose it is, 'She... She won't ever leave her door open...'
She clenched her hands before going in and rushing inside the door.
Only for her to freeze, pale, and stare in horror at the sight that greeted her just a bit ahead, "No..."
She ran over, "No no no no no no, no!" She crouched down by her, "Miyuki!"

She started pressing on the wound, 'Bullet wound, bullet went through, she's already getting cold, no no no no no no no no no Not again!'
"How did Kudo-kun make it look so easy?!" Her voice cracked as she said that to no one in particular, remembering the scene in a certain movie with a certain tomboy, her hands shaking, "Come on, come on, please-"
Tears started to prick her eyes, "You... You promised.... Please..."
She got no response.
Her breath hitched with a sob, and she pulled her hands away, seeing them bloody.
With Miyuki's blood.
She got flooded with more and more memories, and her vision was getting blurry as she stared at her friend's corpse, now actually seeing instead of only hearing her confirmed death from the plane crash news.
Her body shook before she let out a sobbing scream, "MIYUKIIIIII!"
And outside, thunder boomed and rain started pouring as if reacting to the angel's anguish.

I have a feeling most of you knew that even when you hoped it wasn't true, so yeah.
Poor Irene lost her best friend again after she thought she got her back for good. OwQ
