True Happiness (rewrite version)

Case resolved -5-

Narrator pov. Continuing~

Edogawa smiled and replied, "No problem."

Irene had to ask, "Why are you here, though? The office is pretty far." 

He answered, "I felt like you were in trouble, and when I tracked your badge, I noticed how you were in a weird place. So I listened in since you kept it on, and the gunshots told me everything."

Irene took out her badge to realize that it was true; she didn't turn it off, not completely.

She couldn't help but recall when the same thing saved her back on the ship, but decided not to think about it longer as it reminded her of the feeling of being trapped in a box.

She wondered how he had his skateboard, but then remembered Kuroba suddenly being interested in Agasa's address after she explained everything, except his involvement, to him ahead of time again. Makes sense.

She turned the badge off and went to inform, "By the way, she is-"

"Shimizu Reiko, an accomplice in the armed car robbery and the murderer of Nishio-san, yeah, I know." he cut her off, looking down at the unconscious woman, "We  can call the police and tell them about her once we get the client to release everyone."

Irene smiled, "So you did see the crime scene."

He nodded, "Yeah. I figured it out, pretty sure Hattori did too."

"Speaking of, you should probably go back; he's the one with the contact to the client, so you can go confront him together. I'll be fine now." She found a rope in one of the warehouses around and tied Reiko with it to a pole.

He nodded, "So we're done?"

She nodded back, "Yep, her goons should be attacking Hattori-kun and Hakuba, but since I made it harder for them to get in, those two will hopefully get out easier." She stood up after making sure the rope was tight enough, "So I'll just go join the others in the amusement park."

She turned back to him, "As for what should happen to the IDs..."

"Make sure they just don't explode in any way and that they can be taken off, but don't force the others to take them off until 10 pm, so they can still have fun, yeah, I thought that too." He responded.

She nodded, smiling, "Ja, see you there." 

He nodded back, "See you."

She turned on her shoes, and he turned on his skateboard, before they both went their separate ways, for the last time.

Irene arrived at Miracle Land and noticed from the time that the case was solved in almost half the time, 6 and a half hours.

She used the ID to get inside before finding the others, "Minna!" 

Haibara seemed surprised to see her before realizing from her smile what had happened.

Ayumi immediately hugged her, "Irene-chan!"

She hugged back, "Hey, Ayumi-chan." 

Mouri asked, "Irene-chan, where were you?"

Irene smiled up at her, "Getting my bag ended up in an adventure," was all she answered with.

They caught her up on how Toyama was here and that they saw Suzuki earlier, but she left for a cake buffet, along with other stuff that happened.

"He~eh? So there's a pickpocket around?" she asked, at first surprised that that still happened, but realizing that he was already going to pickpocket anyway, so he probably targeted someone else.

The real kids nodded, then Ayumi said, "We're on our way to find him!"

Irene smiled, "Ja, I'll help."

They split up and looked for him before finding him, and, not giving him a chance to take hostages, Irene turned on her gloves and knocked him out by throwing an empty plastic can from the ground at him.

It was only when Megure and the others were arresting the guy, after Megure got a call, did Edogawa and Hattori ran into the park.

Irene saw them first, and she smiled before calling out, "Edogawa-kun!"

That got the boys' attention, and they ran over to the group.

Toyama immediately started yelling at Hattori for not answering her calls, but Irene took the chance to check if she could take the ID off.

It came off easily.

Haibara noticed and sighed in relief.

Irene also noticed how the light on the ID was now yellowish-green.

Megure and the others then left the park with the thief, and Irene noticed Takagi and Sato in the crowd.

After meeting up with them, Kogoro rushed in, "RANN!"

Mouri, confused at the sudden screaming, turned to him as he ran to her and asked, "Otousan?"

He held her shoulders before he turned his attention to Hattori, who gave a thumbs-up and a grin.

He sighed, letting go of his daughter.

Mouri then asked, "What happened, Otousan?"

He waved it off, "Don't worry about it..."

Ayumi then said, "Ne, since we're all here, let's ride the Super Snake!"

Kogoro immediately sweated, "Ah- Well..."

Mouri giggled, "It's alright, Otousan. It's obvious the case made you stressed; you can sit this one out." She turned to the others, "But we all can go!"

The kids cheered.

Irene and Edogawa gave each other a gentle fist bump.

And so they waited in line before riding the Super Snake, then got themselves dinner, with Kogoro joining, the IDs now working like normal ones.

When it was almost closing time, they gave their IDs back to the park staff by the exit, then left, Kogoro grumbling about how he now had to fix the rental car.

It turned out he didn't have to, as Megure and the police came back to offer them a ride home, which Kogoro was more than happy with.

And that was how the case was resolved, with everyone having fun together with no last-minute suspenses before closing time.

AN: Done! Hope you guys liked it!

Finally finished movie 10! :D

If it wasn't obvious, since Reiko was knocked out already, there wasn't an interruption to them telling the truth of the case to Itou, and Conan easily turned off the explosion feature and made the IDs be releasable since no computer was damaged.
