Another one saved by the Angel Sense

AN: This is an original chapter. The one where Irene finally meets a certain bean in this version (Y'all better not have forgotten her >:C). The picture above is what she looks like. Hope you enjoy it!

Narrator pov. On the way to Agasa's~

It was a weekend and Irene was walking from the station to Agasa's home as the Detective Boys promised to hang out today.

She had the same stuffed kitten she won at Tropical Land with her, thinking of giving it to Ginga to snuggle with when lonely.

She was humming to herself with a smile as she walked before she paused as a certain tingling, the same one from when she first found Ginga, started again all over her body.

Her Angel sense is acting up.

She tightened her hold on the stuffed kitten as she let her heart guide her to the person in need.

She ended up inside a toy store, in a corner where only a family of 4 was spotted, Irene's angel sense seemed to direct her to them so she stepped closer, allowing her to see what was wrong.

The youngest child, a girl in kindergarten, was pulling on the mother's skirt as she asked, "Mama, when am I getting a toy like that?" she pointed at the stuffed toys on sale.

The mother pulled the skirt away from the girl's hold before answering, "Right after your brother gets his license." the daughter replied, "But Oniichan got his license two months ago now!" 

The mother retorted, "Well then after he gets his own car." the little girl's retort was, "But Oniichan said he wants to get a car on his birthday, and that's months from now!"

The mother got annoyed and exclaimed, "Well maybe if you were as smart as your brother you'd deserve to get something! Honestly, Mia, you know your brother was already in first grade at your age? And he's studying to become a doctor! While you are still in preschool and want to become a sculpturist! His job is more meaningful than yours and he's better than you so be quiet!"

Mia gasped as tears gathered in her eyes and she looked down, Irene was understandably mad 'What kind of mother is she?!' before she looked at Mia, being able to hear her quiet sniffling as her hands covered her eyes and she was trembling.

Irene didn't think twice before she approached the girl when her parents' attention was elsewhere, an older boy who was clearly the 'Better sibling' with how spoiled he looked and acted and the fact that he had features similar to the parents.

She called her softly "Hey there." which made Mia's head lift up as she looked at her in confusion and surprise.

She smiled softly as much as she could at the little girl before she held the kitten up in front of her and said, "Here. You wanted a toy, right? You can have this one." 'Ginga would be fine without it, she has other things to snuggle at Hakase's anyway.' she thought to herself.

Mia was shocked, "Ar-Are you sure, Onee-chan? I-I don't want to bother you." Irene had to stop herself from gasping at how pitiful Mia's response was as she kept her smile and said, "Un, I'm sure. You need it more than me anyway."

Mia blinked before she slowly took the kitten from Irene who said, "You should probably hide it in your backpack before your family sees it." to which Mia nodded as she opened her backpack and stuffed the kitten inside. 

Irene turned back to the direction she came from and said, "By the way, don't listen to your Mama, you don't have to be as smart as your brother to deserve anything." She could feel Mia's eyes staring up at her in shock.

She turned her head back toward her to show a small sincere smile and added, "Plus, I think sculpturists are cool." This made Mia's eyes tear up again but this time from joy as she smiled widely and nodded saying "Arigatou Onee-chan!"

Irene gave her a closed-eye smile as she waved at her before walking off out of the store, continuing on her way to Agasa's. Not expecting to run into Mia ever again and being okay with it as she was happy to see her smile.

 Well, this was another one saved by the Angel sense.

AN: Done! Hope you guys liked it!

Yep, Mia is finally introduced here! Like I said before, y'all better not have forgotten her. Ò^Ó.

The place they met in was different but it still worked out. 

Also, her not expecting to run into Mia again... Who's gonna tell her? :D

Oh well, she'll find out how wrong she is later on.
