Narrator pov. The next morning (Because nothing changes at the dinner scene-)~

Irene and Miyuki were sitting at a table together by the others' tables, drinking their cups of milk tea.

As Suzuki and Mouri commented about how wonderful it feels to be surrounded by the sea breeze in the morning, Irene and Miyuki drank their milk tea.

Both of their eyebrows twitched in annoyance at Kogoro's personal perverted input and the laugh that followed.

They looked at each other in surrender before they heard the kids ask Agasa for the journey's quiz.

They both sweatdropped as Agasa started to tell his quiz.

Irene mumbled, "The fact that now I understand Japanese, unlike the last time I had to hear this quiz, makes it sound even lamer."

Miyuki giggled a bit at that.

When Agasa finished telling the quiz and choice answers, the girls looked at each other in contemplation before deciding against saying the answer themselves.

As Mouri and Suzuki realized the answer and accidentally gave a hint, Haibara followed by giving a second one, which got Ayumi to realize the answer.

As Ayumi said the answer, Irene and Miyuki covered their faces with their hands on their table.

As Agasa confirmed her answer and added some more English translations to words, Irene had to speak up, "It's Gossip."

Agasa let out an "Eh?" as he turned his head to the girls' table. Miyuki decided to add, "It doesn't have (Shippu) in it, gossip is Gossip. Hakase."

Agasa sweatdropped, "Ah."

The girls giggled a bit at his reaction before Irene whispered to her friend, "It looks to me like all older Japanese men aren't that good at English when you consider Kogoro-san and Megure-keibu."

Miyuki giggled a bit more and replied just as quietly, "Right?"

When Genta said his own pun, the two formerly American citizen girls blinked slowly; it wasn't that impressive.

When the real kids started discussing with each other, the girls smiled.

Irene wondered quietly, "Maybe I should've made her something more than what I did..."

Miyuki smiled, "Are you kidding? The fact that you went through all that trouble to find the materials you thought were right to make it with already makes it a great gift. She'd love it."

Irene smiled at the assurance and compliment, "Thanks, Miyu-chan."

As Mouri and Suzuki went to get more drinks, with Mouri leaving her jumper hanging on the chair, Irene stood up and approached the table at the same time as the kids, who were surprised.

Irene smiled at them and explained quietly, "I made her something too, do you mind my putting it with yours?"

The kids smiled and shook their heads, so she put the object she made in their bag, having thankfully made it small enough to fit in there, and only said, "It's a good luck charm."

She then took her artbook and art kit out from her bag she purposefully placed by the table, as the kids pretended to ponder getting their own drinks while sneaking their bag into Mouri's jumper pocket.

Irene went back to her seat as the real kids ran off, sitting down and starting to sketch.

Kogoro grumbled about what made the kids so excited, but Haibara had looked at Irene with a surprised knowing look, having noticed what she was really doing.

Irene lifted her head up to stare back and placed a finger in front of her mouth with a wink before looking down and continuing to sketch.

Haibara smiled and looked away.

Suzuki and Mouri came back with the drinks, the kids following a bit later, and all sat back down at their tables.

They continued to drink their tea and juices until they were done by 9 o'clock.

And that was how a morning on the St. Aphrodite went.

AN: Done! Hope you guys liked it!

Okay, so not much was happening here either. But the next chapter is the hide and seek, which is an important part with new drama, look forward to that, everyone!

Yep, Irene and Miyuki are sitting at the same table alone together rather than with the others.

Irene admitting that her new understanding of Japanese makes Agasa's puns lamer was honestly expected. XD

And look at that, she also made Ran something. Anyone else jealous of Ran? "OwQ

Next is the hide and seek... We'll see how that goes. :3

So what did you guys think? Did you like it? Which part was your favorite? Hope to see your feedback soon!

That's all. See you next chapter!

Stay sweet my fellow anime lovers!~
