Narrator pov. At the Kuroba Household~
Irene and Kuroba were sitting in the living room, wanting to discuss something important to them and Ginzo.
Tomorrow was Nakamori's birthday, though not the one Irene knew happened in canon.
Of course, they were planning on surprising her.
"So how do we do this? Keep her away from the house until the party is ready?" Kuroba asked, "I can be a good distraction, but..."
"No, she'll think it's weird." Irene replied, shutting that suggestion off, "You don't usually hang out that long around her. We need someone else..."
She hummed, before getting an idea, "Since we're inviting Momoi-san and the rest of her friends to help, how about we ask Nakamori-Keibu to do the distracting? She'd get to spend time with her dad outside of the house without worrying about Kid."
Kuroba pondered on it, "That would be the best way to start a birthday for her..." He stood up, "Alright, I'll call Keibu and tell him. Invite Keiko and the others, too."
Irene nodded as she watched him leave, now planning how the decorations and party itself would look...
The next day, they both woke up early despite it being a weekend, and ate pre-made breakfast by Irene, who had prepared it yesterday.
After listening in to hear the Nakamori daughter and father leaving their house, the former sounding pretty happy about it, and waiting until they were out of earshot and therefore out of view, they both made their move.
They leave their house and go to the Nakamori's next door, Kuroba using his spare key to get them inside after Ginzo locked it.
Once inside, Kuroba went to use the phone to tell Momoi and the others that it was safe to come over now.
While they arrived, Irene made the sketch of what the best party for Nakamori and her interests would be like.
She was done a bit before the girls arrived and so was able to show them and Kuroba after exchanging greetings, smiling shyly from behind her sketch, "S-So... What do you think?"
The girls' eyes lit up, "It's perfect!"
Irene sighed in relief as Momoi then gently took the sketch and took over the party planning itself.
